Material Quality Engineer / Manager

Temple Mills (London)

£200 per day based on experience

6 month contract (Project 12 months)

Job Spec:

Monitor control and generate Key Performance Indicators on the repair loop quality and performance. Update and KPI the repair reports database. Implement and maintain a closer link between the train performance and the repaired materials. Control that the outgoing materials have a clear failure description attached and a serial number. Control and challenge the suppliers on the quality of the repair reports that they provide and ensure that the scope of the repairs meet the required needs. Monitor and flag endangering consumption trends. Quarantine and return to good stock materials based on work orders data and data generated by the trains (i.e. defect codes). Analyze and close non conformance of materials previously repaired. Schedule on-train testing of parts if required.

Functions:
* Control and challenge the failure description of outgoing materials and the information in the repair reports from OEMs
* Work reports and train data checks to review defective components (quarantine and return to good stock materials. Est: 10% of the volume)
* Link between performance and materials: Monitor materials involved in performance incidents.
* Schedule on-train testing if required
* Monitor Consumption Trends (USD reduction proactive approach)
* Root cause analysis and rectification for NCMs
* Update and KPI the repair report database.
* KPI the improvements on all these areas

Qualifications and Experience

• Rolling Stock related technical background.
• Minimum 3-5 years of depot work or
• Maintenance Engineer Level 3.
• Experience in depot work environment.
• IT skills (user level).
• Experience in Excel.
• Experience in BI tools (desirable).
• Experience in stores processes (desirable).

Job Spec:

Management and close out of non - conformances liaising with Customers, Materials, Suppliers, Procurement, Quality Department and other Siemens functions.

Ensure that the number of material non-conformances are managed inline with the customers requirements of initial review. The role will require the Engineer to proactively follow up / through on the non-conformances to ensure they have a thorough investigation detailing root-cause and then ensuring that the corrective action identified are in place and effective.

• Strong organization/planning skills
• Automotive experience for quality insights desirable
• Proactive manner
• Advanced Quality Engineering expeirence desirable

The Recruitment Co are recruiting for A QC Microbiology Assistant to join our clients manufacturing team based in the Baglan area.

Contract: Permanent
Salary: £22,000 per annum
Shifts: Monday to Friday 8am-4pm shifts

Job Overview:
Reporting directly to the QC Manager as part of the QC/Microbiology team, performing and reporting all product sterility testing and plant environmental /water monitoring activities.

Key Responsibilities and Accountability's:

• Environmental Monitoring & Analysis (garment, air, particle, settle plate, contact plates)
• Sterility Testing
• Water sampling & Analysis (TVC, Endotoxin, Heavy Metal & Nitrates)
• WFI Plant in line monitoring (TOC, conductivity, pH, temperature)
• Monitoring consumption / Ordering of all laboratory consumables
• Data analysis/trending and reporting
• Temperature Monitoring of Laboratory incubators
• Cleanroom air pressure monitoring
• Micro laboratory waste autoclave and disposal
• Laboratory housekeeping and cleaning complying with GLP and GMP guidelines
• Preparation of in-house prepared Agars/Broths
• Bioburden testing of raw materials
• Assisting plant microbiologist where required on key organisational activities

Qualifications & Personal Skills

• Previous Environmental monitoring experience essential
• Experience of working within a Microbiology laboratory/Sterility testing desirable
• Experience of working to ISO9001 requirements
• Understanding of cGLP & cGMP requirements
• Computer literate (minimum requirements: word/Excel/Access)
