With over 300 staff, our laboratories are located in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Newcastle, Canberra and Geelong and Client Service Offices are located in Adelaide, Darwin, Hobart and Wollongong. We also operate field sampling services out of Melbourne and Sydney. We specialise in all areas of Environmental analysis, including Contaminated Soil, Sludge, Sediments, Leachate, Soil Vapour, Trade Waste Effluents, Sewage Effluents, Stack Emissions, Work Place Air, Ambient Air, Dust, Drinking Water, Surface Water run off, River & Stream Monitoring, Seawater, and Groundwater.

Location can be based in Dandenong South, VIC or Perth, WA.
Hourly rate approx. $ (dependent on candidate skills and experience) plus an extra 1.5% superannuation above standard rate. Penalty and overtime rates will be paid on top of base in accordance with the EBA.

• Performs duties associated with the administration of the quality assurance provisions of contracts by designing, implementing, and maintaining a risk-based surveillance program and assessment plan.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvements through analysis of process measurement data.
• Serves as a member of a multi-functional or technical team. Responsible for implementing the overall Quality Program for a diversity of products and services in support of U.S. Government acquisition at one or more supplier’s facilities.
• Ensures contractor compliance with all requirements related to the design, manufacturing, repair, overhaul, and modernization of a variety of items for contractor and customer activities throughout the world.
• Independently performs audits/surveillance of contractor’s processes to ensure customer and contractual requirements are met.
• Investigates and provides data on customer complaints/concerns regarding contractor’s quality performance and processes which impact user satisfaction.
• Provides technical support to all other DCMA team members, assisting in the analysis of contract related issues to determine the best course of action to support the contractor and customers.

The Supplier Quality Engineer Role
As Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the quality of components and materials provided by suppliers, along with leading continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

Other duties include:
• Conducting quality assessments and audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Evaluate new suppliers and conduct periodic audits of existing suppliers to assess performance.
• Ensure that incoming materials and components meet required specifications through inspection and testing.
• Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement initiatives, improving product quality and reducing costs.
• Maintain records of quality assessments, audits, and corrective actions.

About the successful Supplier Quality Engineer
As Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be experienced in supplier quality engineering, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments, with attention to detail and good communication skills.

Other requirements include:
• Knowledge of quality management systems and industry standards.
• Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, SPC and PPAP.
• Familiarity with hydrodynamic bearing technologies or similar manufacturing processes.
• HNC in Engineering, Quality Management or a related field.
• Ability to travel to supplier sites both in the UK and internationally.
