The Data Analyst Registered Nurse (RN) specializes in the integration of nursing science, computer science, and information science to manage and communicate data, information knowledge, in clinical practice. The Data Analyst RN facilitates the integration of data, information, knowledge, and to support stakeholders throughout the medical center. This support is accomplished using information structures, information processes, and information technology. Follows procedures per established policies and guidelines. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the oversight of data collection and analysis, establishing effective clinical and administrative systems, designing useful decision support systems, managing, and delivering educational experiences, enhancing lifelong learning, and supporting healthcare evaluation. Program responsibilities include program development, project implementation, logistics, ongoing monitoring and analytics, communication, collaboration, and education.
The Data Analyst RN applies the nursing process principles within a collaborative, interdisciplinary practice setting. The Data Analyst RN provides support at the service level, and/or the organizational level. The Data Analyst RN demonstrates expert knowledge and ability to apply principles of evidence-based practice. The Data Analyst RN's core elements of performance include knowledge and active participation in quality improvement processes and initiatives as well as customer service programs. The Data Analyst RN is responsible for recurring reports as assigned and collaborating with the Office of information and Technology (OI&T) Service as needed.
This position is directly responsible for protecting the internal security of the agency through investigations/audits of patient care records for several purposes such as fact finding, sentinel events, surveillance, performance improvement, root cause analyses, FMEA, and regulatory agency requests. Executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of complex client care.
Preferred Experience:
BSN/Master's degree in related field preferred
CPHQ certification preferred
Experience with Microsoft Excel/PowerBi/Microsoft Forms preferred
3- 5 years of nursing experience
Ability to function independently within a team setting/team player
Critical Thinking/Problem Solving
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm
