About the Role

(12 month fixed term contract)

The purpose of the Regulatory Compliance Officer role is to manage and maintain a regulatory compliance framework, promoting a compliance culture across the business.  This position can be considered as home based, office based and hybrid working arrangements.

• Conduct periodic 2nd line monitoring reviews as detailed in the Compliance Monitoring Programme on a variety of 1st line activities performed by the business to ensure various regulatory requirements are being adhered to

• Contribute to and maintain the compliance monitoring programme

• Create and maintain the Monthly Information pack (reporting) as a result of the monitoring activities completed, this would include summarising how effectively the business units maintain controls and procedures to ensure regulatory standards are met and good customer outcomes are achieved

• Build relationships with key internal departments across the group; this will include when delivering feedback to departments on the results of the monitoring completed. Enhance the reputation of the Compliance function across the business

• Analyse regulatory requirements and group policies and standards and translate these into practical policies for Global Payments and work with functional areas across the business to implement and enforce policies

• Identify and implement regulatory enhancements to the business through the appropriate channels 

• Assist with incident management, and regulatory reporting where rule breaches have occurred

• Develop positive working relationships with auditors

• Ensure all correspondence, websites, marketing material and documents comply with regulatory requirements before providing compliance approval

• Maintain current knowledge of relevant regulatory changes, and recommend improvements where required

• Support the relationship management for all regulators (FCA, PSR, HMRC, NCA etc)

• Provide consultancy to the UK and Ireland business

• Assist and work closely with the Regulatory Compliance team members, provide support where required

About You

• A proven understanding of relevant financial laws, rules and regulations as appropriate to the card acquiring business and the ability to apply them to Global Payments (including AML)

• Financial/Regulatory compliance related qualifications advantageous but not essential

• Experience within a second line function or monitoring function would be advantageous

• Proven excellent written and verbal communication 

• Ability to objectively assess compliance standards within the business and make suitable recommendations

• Sound reasoning and decision making

• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships

• Demonstrate highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behaviour

• Attention to detail

• Proven excellent IT literacy skills

Your new role

• Undertake air quality assessments and surveys

• Due to noise, light, odour, and vibration monitoring you will have good physical health, good hearing and olfactory acuity (sense of smell). You should have a good geospatial interpretation ability in order to find and identify precise locations.

The role
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll support the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer in the day-to-day Quality support of the production facilities within Whetstone and potentially others areas within Mission systems.

Day to day, you'll:

• Comply with as appropriate the organisation's quality policies, plans and procedures.
• Undertake internal surveillance and spot audits on the production facility to ensure compliant product and compliance with our BMS system.
• Identify and control of non-conformance from containment to preventative action including trend monitoring, conducting/supporting investigations and working closely with the supply chain quality team to prevent supplier escapes into the business.
• Formally review and approve activities, work or documentation, in accordance with the appropriate regulatory, policy and procedural obligations. Including documentation pack sign off and product verification.
• Be able to interpret specifications, standards and drawings and apply quality principles to establish quality requirements.

This role is full-time, 37 hours per week and will be based at Whetstone with hybrid working from home arrangements.

Essential experience of the Quality Assurance Engineer:

• Demonstratable knowledge of a quality related role
• Lean awareness
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, procedures and supporting documentation
• Report and procedure writing skills
• Ability to analysis data and produce trend charts to aid lean activity

The role
As a Quality Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. The key focus of this role is to support the delivery of one of our most important contracts on time, to the right quality and to the planned cost.

Day to day, you will provide advice, guidance and support to the business on all matters related to quality, ensuring outputs meet customer and regulatory requirements in a timely manner.

• You will support the Project Delivery Team to provide Quality support and guidance and acting as 'the customer's eyes'.
• Producing and reviewing work outputs (such as document packs) to present to the Customer.
• Carry out spot audits or surveillance to provide assurance that the contract requirements are being met.
• Participate in the recording and sentencing of non-conformance reports, implementing corrective/preventative actions where appropriate.
• Report on Quality performance in the project. Collect and analyse data, making recommendations on improvement opportunities.

This role is a full time position at 37 hours per week and will be based at our Whetstone, Leicester office with hybrid working from home arrangement up to 3 days per week. Hybrid working arrangements can vary dependent on the project being worked.

Essential experience of the Quality Engineer:

• We are looking for someone who has a passion for Quality. You will have some experience working in a Quality environment using tools such as 5-Why, 8D and process mapping.
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated, and can work within a group or individually.
• A keenness for problem solving and an analytical mindset.
• Have a flexible approach to the workload which can come in peaks and troughs.
• Able to prepare documents to a high standard as appropriate for issuing to our customers.
• Conversant with Office software package, Acrobat etc.

Qualifications for the Quality Engineer:

• ONC, HNC or NVQ Level 3 qualification in a quality, science, engineering discipline or industry experience
• ISO 9001 (or equivalent) auditor preferable but training can be provided.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS and SC security clearance for this role.
