Morgan Hunt are currently working with a well-established Independent Regulator, in their search for a permanent Corporate Assurance Reviewer to provide assurance and compliance services as well as objective opinions on the quality of controls, processes and decision making across the organisation.
You will be responsible for providing assurance expertise and advice to all levels of the organisation as well as conducting reviews and assessments across the organisation and produce high-quality reports.
In addition, you will also be taking an active role in developing and coordinating training and awareness on assurance activities support ongoing maintenance and development of the Assurance Map and its matrices.
The successful candidate must have sound understanding of UK legislation, regulation and relevant corporate assessment experience. You must also have strong analytical skills including the ability to remain calm under pressure and good at solving problems.
This role will be a hybrid role, with requirement to attend the Brighton Office for meetings minimum 6 days per month. Key Responsibilities
- Provide assurance expertise and advice to all levels of the organisation.
- Conduct reviews and assessments across the organisation and produce high-quality reports which deliver robust assurance views to Senior Managers
- Identify weaknesses or risks in operational policies and procedures and recommend effective mitigations using solid problem-solving skills
- Link review outcomes to the Assurance Map, which provides an overview of the assurance landscape
- Take an active role in developing and coordinating training and awareness on assurance activities
- Support ongoing maintenance and development of the Assurance Map and its matrices
- Draft reports and develop and promote strong relationships with other functions and staff
Person Specification
- Must have sound understanding of UK legislation, regulation and relevant corporate assessment experience
- Able to demonstrate technical knowledge and understanding of pension and/or financial regulation
- Must be process driven with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Must have the ability to deliver advice and challenge at all levels
- Must have a can do attitude and be calm under pressure
- Must be proactive and flexible, good at problem solving and analytical skills.
