The purpose of this role is to facilitate the development of a culture of continuous quality improvement at Royal Surrey through using expert knowledge and skill in improvement methods. By supporting, coaching and leading people in delivering improvement, the post holder helps to deliver the organisations True North and Breakthrough Objectives. The post holder will provide quality improvement knowledge and expertise to the organisation through training, coaching, and facilitating projects to help make quality improvement the way we do things. They will act as a role model in promoting a culture of improvement and transformation, working with teams at all levels to challenge current practice and deliver significant and quantifiable improvements towards achieving our True North and Breakthrough Objectives. Using lean thinking as the basis, they will be responsible for developing, documenting and disseminating our quality improvement approach so that we build skill and expertise in quality improvement across the Trust. A key part of the role will be to support the development of others in the organisation in quality improvement methods. In addition, they will support pathway improvement activity that addresses defined organisational priorities and address complex challenges by facilitating change at an individual, team and service level.

Quality Governance Facilitator (Full Time 37.5hrs) Quality and Safety Department An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Quality Governance Facilitator. As the Quality Governance Facilitator, you will lead and coordinate Patient Safety Incident Investigations and support the Trust to learn from patient safety events. You will have experience working in patient safety or quality governance and have an understanding of governance techniques, including incident reporting and risk management. Ideally, you will have a clinical background; in this role, you will be working with clinical teams and senior leaders to analyse current practice and identify areas for improvement. This will include analysing data and identifying themes and trends. You will work closely with the clinical teams to produce reports and present information to senior team leaders. You will engage closely with patients, their families and staff with the aim of understanding their experiences and obtaining areas for improvement. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively and flexibly as a part of a team. About the Role: Quality Assurance Business Partner
We are on the lookout for a dynamic Quality Assurance Business Partner to become a part of our high performing Quality & Consistency team. This is a unique opportunity to coordinate, support, and review the implementation of standard QA processes across our faculties.
As a pivotal point of contact for curriculum staff on quality-related matters, you will also undertake the role of Quality Nominee whilst liaising with our partner Awarding Organisations.
You will be instrumental in supporting faculties to uphold best practice in assessment and to assist them in preparing for any external sampling processes. Your responsibilities will include conducting internal reviews and sampling to identify and propose improvement actions.
Your role will also involve developing and implementing robust quality systems to monitor and safeguard our certification, ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained.
You will co-deliver courses to train new assessors and IQAs, and coach them to achieve relevant accreditation.
This is a permanent, 0.8 role based across our Surrey colleges at Guildford, Merrist Wood, and Farnham.
What do you need to be successful as a Quality Assurance Business Partner at Activate Learning?
The successful candidate must be a qualified IQA and assessor with significant experience as a Lead/Internal Verifier, and a deep understanding of IV/EV systems and processes. Experience in an educational environment is essential, ideally in Further Education specifically, or those who have worked within an awarding organisation.

We are seeking a proactive and positive Compliance and Estates Development Manager to ensure that our two schools are fully Health and Safety compliant, putting in place clear processes, systems and monitoring to ensure a safe and high-quality learning environment. The successful candidate will work with the senior leadership and premises teams to develop a long-term estates plan, maximizing our footprint and planning for resource alignment. They will ensure that all Health and Safety training and policy is up to date, and to ensure that all statutory checks are undertaken to schedule with clear record keeping. The post-holder will ensure compliance and estates best practice at both George Abbot School and Burpham Primary School, maximising economies of scale and efficiencies where possible.
This is a rewarding and varied role that is an essential part of the support service provided our schools.
