Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUHFT) is made up of four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital (which includes the Children’s Hospital, Eye Hospital, Heart Centre and Women’s Centre), the Churchill Hospital and the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, all located in Oxford, and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury, North Oxfordshire.
We have an exciting opportunity to work for OUHFT as the Head of Integrated Quality Improvement. This is a key strategic role where you will provide visible leadership, and be responsible for leading and driving the development and delivery of the Integrated Quality Improvement Programme across the organisation.
Working to the Director of Clinical Services, the successful candidate will also be responsible for the design, development and delivery of a Trust-wide education programme on quality improvement methodologies. You will work at the heart of a complex set of relationships and accountabilities and will be expected to develop strong collaborative relationships across the organisation and local health and social care systems.
The successful candidate will lead the Integrated Quality Improvement Team, ensuring that quality improvement facilitation and project support is provided to build a continuous improvement culture.
Our collaboration with the University of Oxford and Oxford Brookes University underpins the excellence of the care that is provided to patients, from the delivery of high-quality research, bringing innovation from the laboratory bench to the bedside, to the delivery of high-quality education and training of doctors, nurses, allied health and other professional staff.
The main duties of the role include:
• Leading and driving the development and delivery of the Integrated Quality Improvement Programme
• Coach and lead senior managers across the Trust to oversee and ensure the delivery of the Integrated Quality Improvement Programme
• Provide leadership on the development of a strategic, Trust-wide approach to continuous improvement
• Provide expertise to clinical divisions to help them ensure appropriate services are in place to secure the delivery of strategic and operational service objectives and standards
