The role - Quality Control Inspector:

• Conduct thorough quality checks on manufactured details to identify defects or deviations from drawings/specifications using various measuring equipment
• Carry out in process and first article inspection
• Utilise quality assurance techniques to assess product quality
• Analyse data and test results to determine product conformance
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions

What our client is looking for in a Quality Control Inspector:

• Experience in using CMM and measurement arms with software - ESSENTIAL
• Must have a good understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
• Experience in using manual measurement equipment (micrometer, verner etc.) - ESSENTIAL
• Proven experience in quality control or a related field
• Familiarity with quality assurance processes and techniques
• Ability to analyse data and draw relevant conclusions
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Summary of the QC Microbiologist role

As the QC Microbiologist you will report directly to the Microbiology Team Leader where the main purpose of your role will be to ensure that the raw materials, products and the production environment meet microbiological quality standards.

Your responsibilities

• Performing daily laboratory maintenance and housekeeping.
• Maintaining stock of all media and consumables within the Micro Labs and QC Labs as a whole, ensuring continuous testing ability.
• Performing microbial testing, performing routine microbiological testing (Endotoxin, Bioburden) on, raw materials, in process samples, product and WFI samples to detect microorganisms. Analytical testing to perform TOC, conductivity, nitrates and appearance of WFI samples. Ensuring testing and documentation is completed and reported in a timely manner.
• WFI sampling, sampling aseptically and transferring to QC Lab for testing within a given timeframe.
• Environmental monitoring to monitor and assess the cleanliness of the production environments (clean outs), e.g. air, surfaces, equipment to maintain a low bioburden state.
• Sampling preparation, culturing and identifying samples with any contamination from microbiological testing.
• Data analysis, recording and analysing test results and completing in accordance to GMP standards, following all internal documents i.e. SOPs to ensure work is carried out correctly.
• Ensuring equipment is calibrated and maintained for accurate testing.
• Working to GLP and GMP standards and regulatory guidance. Initiating, managing and investigating deviations, change controls and CAPAs. Updating any documentation needed e.g SOPs, test methods.
• Ensuring compliance with all laboratory procedures, with all health and safety guidelines, with reference to COSHH and biological safety regulations and health and safety at work act 1974.

Requirements for the role

• Must have a degree in Microbiology, Biology or Biomedical Science to be considered.
• An understanding of microbiology techniques would be preferred but not essential.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in testing.
• Understanding of data analysis.
• Problem solving skills to assess and perform contamination investigations.

As the site Quality Engineer, you will be the face of all things quality based. Working under the SHEQA Manager and alongside your HSE counterpart, together you will manage the Deeside site.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and audit the quality, health, safety and environmental management systems in accordance with ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001.
• Maintain the internal audit schedule for all systems and ensure timely close out of all non-conformances raised.
• Engineer in Quality for all production processes through to finished product.
• Set and maintain the final customer quality shipping standard.
• Support manufacturing and design problem solving, demonstrating effective root cause analysis to close out quality concerns and sources of error.
• Take immediate containment actions and provide quick resolution to in process related quality problems and defects.
• Addressing and closing out customer related complaints to prevent recurrence. Monitoring trends in customer complaints to ensure relevant improvements can be established.
• Maintain calibration of all essential checking and measuring equipment on site, ensuring it is fit for purpose and traceable to international calibration standards.

We’re extremely keen to talk to Quality Engineers, Quality Co-ordinators, Auditors, that have:
• Experience in working in the manufacturing sector within quality assurance. Metals fabrication is a high advantage but not essential
• Experience and working knowledge of ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015 and OHSAS18001 / ISO45001
• Qualification in Internal Auditing
• Experience of RCFA techniques eg: “5 why”, “fishbone diagrams” etc

Key Purpose of the Job:

To control the flow of work through the workshop to maximise its utilisation and ensure that technicians are working efficiently
To ensure that all company policies and procedures applicable to their area of responsibility are adhered to at all times

Accountabilities:

Receive job cards from service reception, pre-time each job and allocate work to Technicians

Obtain authorisation for any additional work required either through service reception or by direct contact with customer

Ensure that all warranty items are identified for each job and that parts replaced are labelled, appropriate documentation completed and passed for action

Receive job cards for completed jobs ensuring that work has been completed correctly; time completed jobs so that job costing can be completed, and ensuring all warranty items are highlighted and all associated documentation is completed

Arrange for customer to be informed that vehicle has been completed

Ensure that the image and levels of customer service within the department is in line with Company standards

Schedule all PDI and used car preparation to ensure that sales department requirements are met

Ensure that all special tools and equipment are kept in good order and that repair requirements are addressed

Ensure that the workshop is kept clean and tidy at all times

Ensure that all customer complaints are dealt with both speedily and effectively

Supervision of the team to ensure that designated duties are performed correctly, highlighting any improvement areas to their immediate supervisor

Identify training requirements for workshop team and Technical Specialists

Ensure that within their area of operation all Company and Trade Associations policies, procedures and minimum standards are met and that all statutory requirements including trading standards, vehicle and consumer legislation, fire, health and safety etc. are adhered to

Handle all internal and external customers and suppliers with courtesy and ensure the Mercedes-Benz experience is delivered to all contacts at all times

Skills and Competencies Required:

Previous experience as a Senior Technician
Strong technical background
Full understanding of Standard Text Times and Warranty procedures
Enthusiasm to deliver the Mercedes Benz customer experience
Strong administration skills
Strong organisation skills
Ability to work effectively within a team environment
