Your New Role:
You will ensure that Portsmouth City Council meets its statutory compliance duties to its HRA residential stock, and that Legionella Risk Assessments are in place for all relevant buildings and installations and are regularly reviewed and updated. You will provide advice to designers, technical professionals and contractors when designing and installing new or amended water installations. You will develop, implement, monitor and review policies and procedures in relation to Water Hygiene compliance activities, and manage data, documentation and certification in relation to Water Hygiene Compliance. You will work to continually improve the service and strive for 100% compliance in all service areas. You will facilitate training and support across Building Services, remain up to date with changes to legislation and the wider industry, and support the procurement of consultants, service providers and contractors.

What you'll need to succeed:
You have a qualification in Water Hygiene or other suitable engineering field, together with relevant practical experience in a similar role. You have an excellent working knowledge of applicable legislation and guidance, and experience of preparing and developing policies and guidance documents to ensure compliance with statutory requirements. You have technical knowledge of water systems and experience of preparing and undertaking Legionella Risk Assessments.
You have experience of using relevant data management systems and managing consultants and contractors. You have excellent communication skills and personally demonstrate, develop and work in accordance with the value and behaviours set out in the PCC Behaviour Framework. You have a driving licence and use of a car for work.
