This is a truly exciting time to join our team as we work towards launching our newly developed £10m Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC). The new centre will have the ability to deliver joined up diagnostic care, and with increased capacity this will ensure our patients will have faster access to treatment, earlier diagnosis, and improved outcomes. As part of this national programme, our services need to ensure they are delivering “Quality” care and in order to support this, we are looking to establish an accreditation team. This will be a vital resource for our Respiratory Physiology & Sleep Studies, Cardiac Physiology, and Radiology Services.

We are looking for an individual to lead this team and manage the accreditation processes for “Quality Standards in Imaging (QSI)” and “Improving Quality in Physiological Services (IQIPS)”. This individual will need to be detail oriented in order to support the services in achieving and maintaining compliance with these standards, providing guidance and support to colleagues on quality matters. The post holder shall actively manage, participate in, and support departments in visits from external bodies, representing the Isle of Wight NHS Trust, and Island CDC, and directly liaising with external auditors.
You will have experience in service improvement, with well developed interpersonal skills and planning experience. We are looking for someone to coordinate the achievement of accredited services within a two-year timeframe, requiring effective time management and people management. You will be required to report on performance to departmental and senior management, ensuring escalation of any challenges and mitigation of risk is considered and corrective action is taken.
The Diagnostics Accreditation & Quality Manager shall provide comprehensive support in the coordination of diagnostic accreditation processes, enabling the Trust to deliver its vision in providing “High Quality, Compassionate care to our island community”. The Diagnostics Accreditation & Quality Manager shall coordinate and lead the accreditation processes across our departments, within our Acute Services & Community Diagnostic Centre.
This will be achieved through:
Providing leadership, advice, and support to diagnostic services embarking on their accreditation journey, fostering a culture which values high quality patient care.
Working in partnership with the Accreditation Coordinators, Service leads and medical leads to ensure the multi-disciplinary team all work together to achieve the common goal of quality accreditation.
Implementation and maintenance of systems and processes which ensure standards are upheld.
Maintaining oversight of data reporting requirements and ensuring Trust compliance.
You shall support further review of AHP services to enable quality service improvement and accreditation as appropriate.
