We are adding an experienced Quality Inspector with CMM and mechanical inspection experience to our Quality team! The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing product inspection and/or audits of quality control programs with respect to incoming components and raw materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs incoming, in-process and final inspections of materials, electrical components, sub-assemblies, circuit card assemblies and final products to assure conformance utilizing drawings, schematics, specifications and work instructions.
Ensures raw materials provided by suppliers meet contractual flow down requirements i.e. C of C, chemical physical certifications, RoHS, and REACH
Works with other departments efficiently and effectively.
Generates and documents approval or rejection labels, nonconforming reports, photographs, and or diagrams as part of the inspection review process.
Minimize down time by focusing on process proactive improvement opportunities and presenting them to management
Some light lifting of packages required to perform receiving quality inspections.
May include team lead/supervisory responsibilities as required
Qualifications & Competencies
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:
Precision mechanical inspection experience
Ability to interpret and apply GD&T
First article inspection experience
Receiving and In-process inspection experience.
Requires the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specification using ASME Y 14.5. GD&T and skillful use of metrology tools and gages required.
Programming and operating a CMM as well as other QC inspection functions for precision machined components and assemblies
ESD protection and handling knowledge and awareness of electronic parts
Must be proficient with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, microscopes, etc.
Ability to use microscope for quality inspection of parts for extended periods
Ability to work in cleanroom attire for extended periods
Ability to travel to Supplier’s facility to conduct Quality Audits and Inspections
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Ability to document and photograph non-conforming parts or material including reporting any inspection results to MRB
Must be well organized and be able to prioritize workload in a fast paced environment
Ability to read technical drawings, requirements, quality clauses, and SOWs
Working knowledge of Document Control and Configuration Management
Excel, Word, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat, and ERP/MRP working experience
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision
Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices
Education and/or Experience
Completion of a high school degree or vocational training is required.
A minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience
Position requires a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience running a Coordinate Measurement Machines CMM, as well as good working knowledge and experience with mechanical inspection measuring tools and quality processes
Aerospace work experience a plus
J-STD/IPC assembly, solder and inspection experience a plus
Supplier Source Inspection experience a plus
Wafer processing and production experience a plus
IPC certifications (e.g. IPC-600, IPC-610, J-STD-001, etc.) a plus
DelTek, CostPoint, TIPQA, Solumina experience a plus
Semiconductor fabrication and production experience a plus
PWB/PCB production processing experience a plus
Supervisory experience a plus

Salary Range:
$49,830.00-$66,550.000
