Transport Compliance Supervisor

At Gregory Distribution, we are currently seeking a Transport Compliance Supervisor at our Ernesettle site.
The position of Transport Compliance Supervisor involves:
- Reports and liaises with the Transport Manager to ensure Transport, Driver and MHE compliance processes are being followed and implemented correctly.
- Planning vehicle servicing and repair schedules by liaising with both internal and external maintenance providers.
- Assist, conduct and complete investigation's on incidents, accidents for the Transport Manager.
- Monitor & update internal vehicle & driver compliance systems across a range of customer contracts.
- Working alongside the transport/warehouse team to ensure operational compliance requirements are met on a daily basis.
- Produce and maintain comprehensive KPI and reports related to transport, driver and MHE operational compliance.
- Provide driver training reports to support in arranging training and maintenance booking requirements.
- Liaise with the vehicle asset yearly planner, reports for vehicle servicing requirements such us MOT's, loaded brake tests, weight test & LOLER etc.
- Oversee compliance and Health & Safety issues, ensuring all standards are met.
- Provide timely and professional responses to all queries via email, phone, and face-to-face interactions.
- Conduct driver licence checks using TruLicence.
- Debriefing drivers including going over infringements and ensuring drivers understand the needs of staying compliant with working time directive.
- Complete gate checks with drivers before they leave the depot to ensure we remain compliant.
- Complete Driver licence checks every 6 months as per company policy.
- Training drivers in the use of company phone apps.
- General administration duties to include filing, scanning and data input.
Essential skills required for Transport Compliance Supervisor:
- Proven experience in transport operations and compliance.
- Excellent understanding of DVSA regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with external and internal stakeholders.
- Strong strategic focus and continuous improvement experience.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.
- Working to deadlines.
- Solution driven and Flexible approach to your work.
- Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- MS packages to include, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
