ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To lead in promoting sustainable energy solutions.
2. Focus on sustainable development and energy efficiencies for the organization.
3. Be proactive in ensuring effective navigation of renewable energy regulatory landscape such that the procurement strategy remains agile and adaptable to changing market conditions.
JOB TASKS AND SPECIFICATIONS
- Energy Transition Strategy:
- Identify, develop and implement strategies to transition the organization towards sustainable energy focused culture and mindset.
- Identify and assess risk associated with energy transition projects.
- Develop project plans, timelines and milestones to ensure successful delivery of sustainable energy saving measures and initiatives.
- Monitor progress, manage resources and budgets, track performance to ensure initiatives are on schedule andwithin budget.
- Procurement Management:
- Develop strategic procurement frameworks and policies enabling organization to make decision associated with renewable energy costs vis-à-vis sustainability goals and long-term cost savings.
- Managethe procurement process for renewable energy resources which includes but not limited to sourcing energy suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring cost-effectiveness and sustainable energy procurement.
- Regular engagement of suppliers associated with renewable energy.
- Energy Efficiency Initiatives:
- Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiencies within the organization.
- Develop avenues to optimise energy usage and evaluate avenues for green financing.
- Lead cross functional team in implementing energy saving technologies, optimizing building automation system and propose solutions to resolve any challenges in connection with the implementation of such initiatives.
- Drive sustainable energy awareness and promote energy-efficient practices within the organization.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay abreast of evolving energy regulations and policies especially in the context of renewable energy, government incentives, tax credits and subsidies in Singapore as well as countries in the Asia Pacific region.
- Ensuring the organization complies with energy related laws and regulations and obtaining necessary permites and certifications for sustainable energy related projects.
- Audit, Reporting and Analysis:
- Preparing reports on KPIs relating to energy usage, cost savings and sustainability metrics.
- Analyse data to identify trends, market trends and opportunities, etc.
- Perform audits and make recommendations for improvements, etc.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Degree in Environmental Science, Energy or Sustainability or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in similar leadership role in leading energy transition initiatives for organisations in Singapore and countries in the Asia Pacific Region;
- Familiar with energy-efficient technologies and renewable energy options
- Well-verse with sustainability policies and incentives for adoption of energy efficiency and renewable energy measures.
- Ability to perform energy audits, cost-savings analysis and energy management plans
- Experience in procurement and supplier performance monitoring.
- Strong project management and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and ability to work well with a range of stakeholders including suppliers, financial institutions, etc.
- Proficient in English (Spoken and Written)
