Are you looking for a new role in a busy warehouse environment? We're looking for a Warehouse Team Member to join our client team.

Important: You MUST have a valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence for this role.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Your Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading deliveries (FLT licence required)
• Sorting and moving stock around the warehouse
• Picking, packing, and preparing goods for dispatch (UK & Export)
• Handling dispatch paperwork and ensuring correct import/export documentation
• Using our order management system (Microsoft Dynamics) to manage stock
• Helping with stock control and regular inventory checks
• Collaborating with other teams (Customer Service, Commercial, etc.)
• Contributing to continuous improvement and maintaining a safe working environment
• General housekeeping to keep the workspace clean and tidy

What We're Looking For:

• Relevant experience in a warehouse environment
• A valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence is a must
• Basic computer skills (training will be provided on our systems)
• A team player with good attention to detail and the ability to work independently
• Flexibility and initiative to adapt to changing tasks and improve working processes
• Experience with import/export shipping (preferred but not essential)

Role Overview:
The Purchase Ledger Assistant will play a crucial role in the finance department, responsible for maintaining accurate purchase ledger records, processing invoices, and ensuring timely payments to suppliers. This position requires close collaboration with team members, suppliers, and various departments within the company.
Key Responsibilities:

• Supplier Management:
  Maintain up-to-date's data and onboard new suppliers in line with company processes.
• Invoice Processing:
  Accurately process supplier invoices, ensuring all relevant information is recorded and authorised.
• Cash Management:
  Handle day-to-day cash management tasks.
• Supplier Payments:
  Prepare payment runs to ensure timely payments to suppliers.
• Reconciliations:
  Regularly reconcile supplier statements to the purchase ledger and resolve discrepancies.
• Data Entry:
  Maintain accurate records of all purchase ledger transactions.
• Accruals/Prepayments:
  Provide information to the Finance Manager at month-end.
• Query Resolution:
  Address supplier queries and issues, liaising with procurement and other departments.
• Expense Claims:
  Assist with processing employee expense claims.
• Petty Cash:
  Manage the petty cash tin and process employee requests.
• Capital Purchases:
  Provide information on capital purchases and update the fixed asset register.
• Car Hire Management:
  Oversee the car hire process to manage costs.
• Audit Support:
  Assist during internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Process Improvement:
  Suggest and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Reporting:
  Support the Finance Manager with month-end and year-end reporting.
• Ad-hoc Projects:
  Participate in ad-hoc projects as directed by the Finance Manager or Finance Director.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
• Experience in finance and accounts within a manufacturing and engineering environment is desirable.
• Solid knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles.
• Proficiency in financial software and MS Office.

Duties to include, but not limited to:

• Conducts short, mid and long-term advanced planning for new and replacement NX assets, utilizing enterprise-wide computerized planning tools.
• Analyzes data to include projected lifecycle, down . time, repair rates, lost workload, cost, depreciation, trade-in value and other factors which impact procurement decisions.
• Requires significant interaction and coordination with service lines, biomedical engineering, and other stakeholders to balance competing priorities including clinical requirements, technological enhancements, and budget constraints.
• Computes requirements for equipment inventory items.
• Utilizes a range of well-established and commonly applied inventory principles, standard and non-standard methodologies, and, concepts to determine need to intervene in the supply system in response to fluctuations in rates of usage, cost, availability for established suppliers, alternative sources of supply and other similar conditions.
• Manages and controls NX assets for a VA HCS and supported catchment area. Recognized as an authority on NX asset management and serves as a subject matter expert to all services and service lines.
• Acts as a central point of contact for the coordination of material support and the resolution of logistics problem across organizational lines.
• Acts as the focal point for all new equipment procedures.
• Makes decisions and commitments for the VA HCS and catchment area on equipment that materially affects the health care mission of Veterans.
• Researches opportunities for, and conducts analysis of potential cost savings, efficiencies, and process improvements using quantitative analysis and historical usage patterns.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Distributes and balances workload among employees, assuring timely accomplishment of assigned workload.
• Monitors the status of work and makes adjustments in accordance with established procedures.
• Provides on-the-job training in specific tasks and jobs techniques.
• Recommends changes in work methods to improve timeliness and quality of work.
• Provides input to supervisor on employee performance, conduct and training needs.
• Performs work in various areas of the commissary.
