WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT MANAGER

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join our team as a Warehouse Assistant Manager for our oil palm company based overseas (Papua New Guinea). This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our procurement and warehouse operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, and distribution of materials and products.
• Implement and maintain efficient inventory management systems to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
• Implement and enforce safety and security protocols within the warehouse.
• To manage the requisition order by estate and oil mill
• To manage the purchase order for local supply
• To ensure the accountability for stock items receive & stock issue
• To plan & manage the safety stock
• To maintain the inventory system by ensuring all the inventory had the proper coordination
• To ensure all the inventory flow can be tracked properly
• To be responsible for the development of staff by providing training
• To ensure that safety and health requirements are met in the warehouse

Requirements

• Possess a minimum SPM &Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years experiences in logistics and warehousing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate in English, both written and spoken. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are important in a multiracial working environment.
• Overseas working experience and exposure to plantation industry are added advantages.

Functions as a Warehouse Worker in the Food Service Department at the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) federal correctional facility.

Responsible for supervising inmate workers who receive, store, and issue a wide variety of supplies, material, equipment and commodities required in the operation of the Food Service Department.

Responsible for clerical, Funds Control, Time and Attendance and budgeting duties as assigned by the Food Service Administrator and is expected to apply a working knowledge of policies and procedures as related to this office and the food service aspect of the institution.

Responsible for delivery follow-up on outstanding purchase orders placed with commercial vendors.

Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staffs correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.

This position involves a multi-grade career ladder. The major duties listed below represent the full performance level of GS-6. At the GS-5 grade level, the employee performs assignments of a more limited scope and with less independence. You will progressively acquire the background necessary to perform at the full performance level of GS-6. Promotion is at the discretion of the supervisor and is contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of higher level work, and availability of funds.

The purpose of this position is to perform direct medical supply purchasing and inventory management support to the administrative and clinical services of the VA to initiate the obligation for all related requirements necessary to provide prosthetic and sensory aids services, to include durable medical equipment and supplies directly to Veterans.

Duties include, but may not be limited to, the following:

• Perform technical level purchasing support adhering to the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Veteran Affairs Acquisition Regulations (VAAR), Veteran Health Administration (VHA), and Prosthetics directives and handbooks, Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISN) policy and station memorandums to acquire Veteran specific medical equipment, supplies and services based on a medical provider's clinical assessment and evaluation of the Veteran's medical condition;
• Submits Acquisition Plans and Procurement Packages for stock and veteran specific needs to the Network Contracting Office and uploads quotes, bids, invoices, consults, and other important documents to Electronic Contract Management System (eCMS);
• Verifies Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) and Bradstreet information and ensures each vendor is in System for Award Management (SAM) and in good standing with the government to do business with;
• Verifies accountability of all prosthetics expenditures in both the purchase menu and the prosthetics program and associate all obligations to the individual veteran;
• Ensure the services provides are documented not only as the type of service, but the duration;
• Complex purchasing: requires irregular research, analysis, collaboration and many other steps to ensure both best value and the most appropriate devices are purchased for the Veterans;
• Routine purchasing: includes routine purchase orders on established contracts or through established vendor resources using regular significant research, analysis or collaboration;
• Performs other duties as assigned.

His other roles are being ISO certified and working on End Users Certifications (EUC).

Essential Responsibilities include:

• Plan and schedule Spare parts requirements based on demand plan/material requirement requests from Fabs.
• Regularly review inventory levels for specific categorization of materials.
• Regular monitoring of critical materials to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing.
• Coordinate with warehouse/logistics to ensure accurate inventory levels and stock availability.
• Publish essential spare parts metrics/KPIs to management on a timely basis.
• Derive the material requirement plan based on the master production schedule to procure and source.
• Good Knowledge of Inventory management.
• Oversee the department R&M/Chemicals, etc. stores – upkeep with house-keepings, periodic cycle counts.
• Maintain the inventory database, ensuring timely and accurate recordings.
• In charge of day-in-day-out logistics operations.

• Ensure to adhere to zero safety requirements.
