The Opportunity

The main purpose of the Supply Chain function here at EDF is to maximise value for EDF in the UK through the professional supply chain of third-party goods and services. What you’ll be doing

You’ll be responsible to review, manage and challenge work orders from the strategic vendors and also manage some key IT Services contracts. To record, track, maintain and develop a data base of the work orders and work closely with the business units to review their progress. Recommend areas of improvement, reduce the number of work orders and to improve the processes.

You’ll proactively engage with the business stakeholders to identify an appropriate contract model for the varying business needs and recommend for the right KPIs and deliverables to be added in contracts.

You’ll be accountable to conduct routine Supplier Relationships management (SRM) meetings as per the SRM frameworks and carry out meetings to manage the relationships and expectations of both internal and external stakeholders. You’ll manage the relationship with the strategic partners through SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) Framework.

You’ll ensure that the business support teams, such as Legal, are involved and contributing to the delivery of the portfolio and manage the workflow to ensure that the acquire Goods and Services process is carried out in a timely manner to meet the business expectations. You’ll manage escalations and complaints effectively and ensure mitigating actions are put in place and followed.

You’ll be liable to drive sustainability and other innovation initiatives with suppliers to support EDF achieve its business goal of Helping Britain Achieve Net Zero (HBANZ).

Who you are

To be successful in this role you’ll be a dynamic, passionate procurement professional who’ll enjoy being a Business Partner to the IT/Technology function with the confidence to support, challenge and advise on strategic and commercial decision-making related to business-critical strategic third-party providers to support EDF’s ambitions.

You’ll have proven experience in the award and development of contract and supply chain strategies for complex, high value projects coupled with a strong understanding of contract and commercial law and sound understanding of contractual terms and conditions. Confident in contract management and providing commercial solutions, as well as being experienced in Supplier Relationship Management.

You’ll have demonstrable experience in project work allowing you to get involved in, and to lead, strategic projects.

Summary
We are looking for an experienced Temporary Accommodation Procurement Officer to join a team based in Camden. This role is vital in securing temporary accommodation for residents in housing need and managing relationships with landlords and accommodation providers.
THE ROLE
As the Temporary Accommodation Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the council has access to a range of temporary accommodation solutions. Your key responsibilities include:

• Procuring suitable temporary accommodation to meet the council's statutory obligations.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with private landlords, letting agents, and accommodation providers.
• Negotiating competitive rental rates and terms to secure cost-effective housing solutions.
• Ensuring compliance with housing legislation and local policy in securing accommodation.
• Managing contracts with accommodation providers and ensuring standards are met.
• Supporting the placement of families and individuals into appropriate temporary housing.
• Monitoring performance and ensuring value for money in the council's temporary accommodation strategy.

THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within housing procurement or property management. Additional requirements include:

• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure cost-effective accommodation solutions.
• Experience working with private sector landlords and managing accommodation contracts.
• Knowledge of housing legislation, particularly related to temporary accommodation.
• Ability to manage multiple contracts and relationships with external providers.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills to deliver high-quality service.

THE CONTRACT
3 months, temp ongoing
The pay range for the role is £24.00 to £26.00 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £20.46 to £22.17 per hour, inclusive of holiday.
