Job Summary Assist the Technical Services Manager in the operational management and development of the pharmacy department. Provide support and deputise for the Technical Services Manager as required. Key Responsibilities Operational Liaise with and provide information to the pharmacy staff in relation to initiating orders for stock items and other special items, directing and prioritising when needed. Respond to queries from pharmacy staff regarding stock supply, lead times, supply issues and provide specialist technical advice on the procurement of medicines for the trust. Lead and organise the purchasing and invoicing staff in maintaining contract details for CMU regional contracts and send contract information to Lloyds pharmacy contacts for both sites. Support the Pharmacy Technical Services Manager by attending CMU North-West Operational Group meetings when required. Ensure trust specific issues relating to contracts and contract lines are raised to the Regional Procurement Pharmacist. Attend external meetings relating to purchasing as and when required. Ensure mandatory checks of Unlicensed medicines are carried out on receipt of deliveries in line with MHRA recommendations. Monitor the UL medicines process to ensure SOPs are followed and that documentation is completed and stored appropriately. Support Cost Improvement Programmes (CIP) by ensuring cost savings identified are reported appropriately. Monitor off contract spend and support the purchasing and invoicing team to identify off contract claims. Oversee the claim submissions to ensure that these are processed in line with the terms and conditions. Utilise reporting within Exend+ and complete appropriate mapping to ensure external benchmarking data is accurate and up to date. Monitor efficiency of invoice processing and provide support with invoice discrepancies. Liaise with finance colleagues to resolve issues. Your new role
As Materials Buyer, you will be responsible for the effective spend management of £12m of both material spend and indirect spend. The role entails managing key commercial relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, so you will need to be a confident communicator who can easily adapt their communication style to suit your audience. You will monitor and track market rates for materials, and you will effectively negotiate with suppliers to agree terms and prices which are commercially viable and favourable, which deliver the best value for money.

The majority of the role is focused around raw materials spend, so ideally, you will have prior experience in this area of spend already.

The role is office based 5 days per week and the working hours are Monday-Thursday 0800-1600, and Friday 0800-1530.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience as a Buyer/Procurement Officer within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Experience of purchasing raw materials
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Confident at dealing with stakeholders of varying seniority levels
• Able to confidently and successfully negotiate and influence others

Role Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Anfield Store as a Senior Sales advisor. In this role you will be a part of our store management team, working closely with the store manager, assistant manager and supervisor in order to drive the store team to ensure excellent customer service and store performance.

What will you be doing?

• Understanding store targets and KPIs to ensure that targets are delivered.
• Taking responsibility for running departments within the store and running the store and ensuring that all targets are met, and high standards are maintained at all times.
• Managing the shopfloor and back-office areas, including queues, customer issues, stock availability issues and printing issues, to ensure that high standards are delivered and maintained.
• Ensuring all deliveries are received and processed in most efficient manner and the shopfloor is commercially merchandised.
• Undertaking keyholder responsibilities, which will include holding the store in the absence of the Store Manager, Assistant Manager & Store Supervisor.
• Responsibility for running the store and day to day management of the store and store staff and responding to call outs (as appropriate).
• Opening and closing the store, carrying out till counts, investigating, resolving, actioning or escalating any till losses or discrepancies, cashing up, safe counts, banking and managing collections, to complete all of this in accordance with Store standards and compliance checks.
• Reviewing the daily handover documents and daily planner to allocate daily activities to the store team, using this detail to talk through the daily brief with the team, providing key targets for the day and allocating sections and/or jobs to the store team. Reviewing that activities are being actioned and follow up as necessary.
• Completing management paperwork as required, including, but not limited to reviewing store reports and using these reports to implement any action and/or decisions. Ensuring all paperwork and store actions will deliver consistent results above the retail benchmark for Store Compliance Audits.
• Completing customer service observations and floor walks to ensure we maintain high store standards and direct the team to implement any actions.
• Supporting with shopfloor moves and any promotional activities and product launches, for example Kit launch and taking responsibility for any key actions in preparation for key launches/events.
• Supporting the management team in delivering refresher training to the existing store team, whilst supporting the induction and training of new store team members.
• Undertaking all tasks in accordance with our retail standards and to participate in regular meetings and training.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful you will have previous experience working in a retail store and have the ability to motivate and drive a team. You’ll have previous leadership experience in a retail environment. You will also have strong product awareness and understanding of good customer experience. Including worked in a customer facing setting, where you have developed excellent customer service skills.

You will have excellent numerical and analytical skills and be able to solve problems quickly and effectively. You`ll have an eye for detail and be confident working in a fast paced environment, working as part of a team and independently, with the ability to make operational decisions.

As a Warehouse Assistant, this role has a strong focus on stock management, as well as customer service, so this role is great for someone who loves to build relationships with their team and customers and enjoys an active and varied role.
