In this role, you will report to the Area Operations Manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

What we’re looking for
Experience:
1–2 years of experience working in a GMP or pharmaceutical environment is preferred.
1–2 years applicable experience in customer services/inventory stocking/or account management
Minimum 1 -2 years of face-to-face customer service experience is required
Microsoft Teams experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Information intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel
Solid understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, or purchasing
Excellent Customer Service Skills: displays a professional can do attitude
High regard for safety, quality and adherence to protocols, policies, and procedures
Ability to self-manage and self-motivate, forward-thinking
Ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:
Be responsible for tasks in inventory management (Consumables, chemicals, samples, etc.) and accurate inventory control, processing requests leading to inventory movement on and off site and fulfilling the customer's metric reporting.
Monitoring slow moving and dead inventory, conduct cycle counting, yearly physical inventories, and reporting.
Work purchasing functions including but not limited to back-order reporting, order entry and expediting, direct factory shipments, 3rd party support, managing quotes, document control, records maintenance, and resolving open invoices or pricing issues.
Performs shipping coordination activities such as shipping customer material, handling routine issues, operating basic warehouse equipment, entering shipping information into the customer computer system, and equipment inspections.
Responsible for handling hazardous material and preparing shipping documentation and packaging requirements.
Gathers, trends and analyzes data generated to provide sample metrics updates and improve inventory accuracy.
Documents and investigates quality events associated to manufacturing operations to ensure effective root-cause analysis, corrective action plans determination, product impact and remediation.
