About the opportunity:

We are currently looking for a Warehouse Operative within our St Albans Distribution Centre.

Working within a busy pharmaceutical warehouse environment you will be accurately assembling customer orders, efficiently picking customer orders for shipment and ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped on time. You will need to meet minimum productivity and quality standards and comply with policies and legal requirements in relation to the role.Working closely with a dedicated team, you'll contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment. Effective communication and teamwork are essential as you coordinate efforts to achieve operational excellence.

In this role you will be required to stand and walk for the majority of your shift, as well as needing to be able to lift (products up to 15kg), bend, twist, kneel, and crouch.

As a warehouse operative, being flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment is essential. While proven experience in a warehouse environment would be advantageous, it is not essential. You should be able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative. Operatives will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working any five from seven days on a variety of shift patterns, so there will be Saturday or Sunday working dependent on rotas. The role involves manual handling of weights up to 25kg and using material handling equipment such as low level order pickers, pump/pallet trucks and reach trucks.

The Job

• Motivate and inspire a team of Goods In colleagues
• The safe unloading and administration of all stock received in Branch
• Safe, timely and efficient instore storage/distribution of stock
• Keyholding and Duty Management
• The contracted hours for this role are 37 or more
