Role summary:

DX Warehouse Operatives are responsible for the accurate and timely sortation of parcels and mail. The role is essential to ensuring our customers receive the correct deliveries at the correct time and uphold our promise of delivering exactly.

Key responsibilities:

-Accurate sortation of parcels and mail either by hand or through the use of sortation equipment

-Scanning and loading of parcels and mail into sacks and cages

-Ensuring all sortation is completed in line with DX operating procedures and security standards

-Ensure the highest standards of housekeeping

-Strong literacy and numeracy skills; the ability to interpret and complete paperwork in a fast-paced environment

-Works well under pressure and is comfortable in achieving tight deadlines

-Proactive and energetic and takes an active part in the success of the department and team

Excellent opportunity for a Purchasing Assistant to join a well-established company based in Crawley

Salary:
Hours: 27 per week (6 hours per day)

About us
The company is part of Pool Corp, the world's largest Pool and Spa distributor. The UK business is a fast paced and developing market which handles a wide range of product categories and portfolios. They serve members of the Pool Trade across the country, with their main office and warehouse based near Gatwick, West Sussex.

Working as a key member of the Purchasing Team to contribute to department KPIs.

Tasks to include
• Ensure stock levels are maintained at suitable levels throughout the year for a defined list of accounts.
• Raising purchase orders, developing relationships with suppliers, analysing trends using company data and IT systems to make correct purchasing decisions
• Working with freight companies to achieve timely and cost effective deliveries
• Working with the internal sales team to ensure customer requirements are met
• Maintaining the company systems to ensure accurate information is available for all departments to use
• General purchasing admin as required

Key Skills Needed:
• Strong numerical & analytical skills
• Confident decision maker
• IT literate, including a good standard of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Strong administration experience
• Organised and flexible approach to working as part of a small team
• Experience of working in supply chain or purchasing
