Due to a continued period of growth, our client is looking for a temporary warehouse administrator to join their team which may, in the future, lead to a permanent position for the right candidate.

You will be liaising with the warehouse operational teams to review and maintain forecast and replenishment systems/processes to ensure they operate as efficiently and effectively as possible.



**Day to day duties and responsibilities:**


* Produce reports daily
* Deal with incoming and outgoing calls

* Enter and maintain accurate data in warehouse management system

**Previous skills or experience required:**


* Previous experience as a warehouse administrator or stock controller

Main duties will include. Ensure appropriate purchasing arrangements and contracts are in place for all designated contracts within current portfolio and contracts are re-newed in accordance with agreed timescales & to meet operational requirements. Plan, organise, allocate, co-ordinate & monitor own and line reports workload to ensure all urgent requirements and Trust stakeholders requirements are met. Ensure a contracts workplan is maintained and act as a primary point of contact attending ward and department meetings when required. Monitor & manage all contracts and projects from establishment of requirements through to completion and attend, when required, regular contract review meetings to monitor the performance of suppliers against the requirements of agreed specifications, aid discussion and dispute resolution between contracted suppliers and Trust service managers. The take responsibility, control & co-ordination of activities associated with the invitation and evaluation of high & low value tenders and quotations. This will include managing sensitive and commercially confidential information the preparation of specifications, scheduling requirements, negotiating, analsysing tender responses and awarding contracts on behalf of UHCW. Responsible for all direct line management responsibilities for designated team / members (this includes Appraisals, mentoring and personal development, disputes and grievances, performance management, absence management and other ESR requirements), providing training and guidance as and when required. Responsible for the Trusts 'call off' and 'standing order' renewal program, ensuring all contract renewals are dealt with efficiently and effectively. Actively manage, and promote competitive tendering, recommend sources of supply & identify savings opportunities to end-users, providing training and guidance to Trust staff and mangers not familiar with procurement processes. Represent the procurement department at appropriate meetings and events on and off site when required. • Running picking activity and allocating work to warehouse operatives by prioritising workload.

The Warehouse Team Leader role
The warehouse team leader will be an integral part of our local logistics team, taking a hands-on approach to carrying out key duties whilst leading by example and supervising a shift of 4-6 warehouse staff. Daily duties include driving forklift trucks (reach & counterbalance). Our warehouse team work 45 hours a week across Monday to Friday whereby the working hours for this role shall be 8:00am-6:00pm.

Warehouse Team Leader Key Duties
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, key duties and responsibilities of the role include:

- Giving instruction to and supervising performance of warehouse colleagues to ensure tasks are completed effectively and within required timescales

- Receive, inspect and unload supplier deliveries

- Pick, load and dispatch goods

- Receive and process customer/supplier returns

- Support stock-taking activities

- Dealing direct with customers both in person & via telephone, ensuring high standards of customer service at all times.

- Ensuring paperwork is processed onto the system accurately and timely

Do you have the correct profile?
Firstly, you must be an experienced warehouse operative in your own right, with valid forklift truck licences in reach & counterbalance (training on one licence could be provided if needed). Ideally you will already have enjoyed some experience of supervising a small team of warehouse staff and understand what it takes to provide guidance, support and get the best out of a team. It is imperative that you have a strong work-ethic with a flexible 'can do' attitude. Also crucial is a strong customer-focus with the ability to interact positively with our customers. First and foremost you will be an able and dependable warehouse operative in your own right, enthusiastic, not afraid to get your hands dirty, but also able to set a strong example and motivate others to do a good job.
