We are seeking an experienced Lead Procurement Manager to oversee major procurement projects, strategic partnerships, and alliances. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating NEC contracts, with expertise in the procurement of complex infrastructure contracts, ideally under PCR, DSPCR, or UCR regulations. You should possess solid program management skills, with a track record of working and leading matrix teams effectively. As a natural leader with high emotional intelligence, you excel in coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams. An eye for detail, exceptional people skills, and a results-oriented mindset are essential to providing strategic oversight and ensuring procurement success across the organisation.

Key requirements:

• Normal operating hours will be 6am until 9:30pm with shifts starting at 6am, 7am, 8am, 10am & 1pm
• On a Sunday, there is just one shift 8am until 4:30pm
• 45 mins break (15 mins paid)

You Role as a Warehouse Operative:

Your role will involve some or all of the following tasks:

• Picking orders using a hand-held scanner
• Packing items for delivery, ensuring that orders are packaged and labelled correctly
• Stacking boxes
• Labelling
• Arranging and tidying stock & materials
• Assisting with the unloading of vehicles and the checking in of stock
• Checking for damaged or missing items
• Performing inventory controls and keeping quality standards high for audits
• Following Site Standards and safe working practices in relation to Health and Safety
• Communicating and cooperating with Supervisors, Team Leaders and coworkers
• Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules and schedules

Skills & Experience Required:

• Previous experience within a warehouse/DC environment
• Ability to interact and communicate professionally
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and target-driven environment
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Must be able to speak and understand English language
• Ability to be flexible in relation to shifts & hours
• Must be able to work weekends as needed

We are looking for a Principal Procurement Manager to lead and execute Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, and Supplier Relationship Management for a diverse range of categories. The goal is to leverage and secure the organisation’s supplier base to meet current and future business needs while mitigating risks. The Principal Procurement Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end performance of category groups and managing multimillion-pound procurements effectively.

The ideal candidate will possess asset management expertise, portfolio planning experience, and a strong background in working within a Public Sector Commercial Team. They should be well-versed in managing the procurement process and driving strategic outcomes within a complex public sector environment.

Key Accountabilities:

Develop, implement and drive Category Strategy for a complex group of categories
Oversee the execution of the end to end strategic sourcing process for all complex and high value Procurements
Ensure Supplier Relationship Management for key suppliers who have a significant impact on the organisation’s business, with the objective of managing risk, managing performance and extracting more value from the supplier base
Develop and sign off Supplier Strategies
Act as Sourcing Business Partner for certain areas of the business and be accountable for the Sourcing contribution (including efficiencies and risk mitigation)
Use category expertise and external markets insights, to proactively propose alternative or innovative 3rd party solutions to senior and executive level stakeholders to anticipate issues before they arise
Develop the Category Team and drive a high-performance culture: secure competence development within the team, manage performance in accordance with clear goals and manage team motivation to support Supply Chain Management transformation
Drive Supply Chain Management transformation: continuously and consistently focus the team performance to delight stakeholders and improve Supply Chain Management profile as “Trusted Advisor” to the business.



Key requirements:

Experience of working in a Public Sector Commercial Team and managing the procurement process
Experience of contract regulations, negotiating contracts and/or managing contracts and suppliers
Experience of working as an effective team member and able to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders
Portfolio planning
Asset management knowledge/experience
Knowledge of Procurement reform act (desirable)
