The Role

As a Store Manager, your role is critical in the operational running and success of your store. You will lead by example, being responsible for motivating and supporting a diverse team to deliver against key targets that drive the success of your store.

Contracted Hours: 37.5
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract until 30th June 2024
Pay Rate: £30,000 per annum

• Have a passion for all things selling and customers; leading by example, providing fantastic service to all your customers, and coaching your team to do the same
• Be responsible for delivering the store’s daily, weekly and yearly targets, and ensuring your team know what they need to do each shift to deliver what’s required
• Review store performance and action plans – feeding back any challenges
• Utilising your key holders, ensure your store is opened and closed at the correct times, adhering to all security procedures
• Prepare and issue store rotas
• Be responsible for the stock inventory, ensuring actions are implemented to minimise stock loss
• Be passionate about coaching and mentoring staff; setting them up for success by conducting regular 1:1’s, monitoring performance, and recognising achievements

What’s the role?
Reporting to the Store Manager, you will be a vital member of the store management team. You will be a Duty Manager and take full responsibility for the store in the absence of the Deputy or Store Manager. You will be involved in absolutely everything of the store's running, such as recruitment, stock control and store standards. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recruit, interview and hire talent

• Make informed decisions to support store expense management (e.g. payroll, productivity, shortage)
• Assist and guide associates on the point of commerce process
• Lead the execution on all merchandising directives

As an Assistant Store Manager, you are a part of the store executive team and will be in charge of one or more departments as well as various functional areas throughout the store. The performance of your key responsibilities is necessary to the success of the store. You will also have a significant role in leading associate development as well as assessing and evolving your own development. The manner in which you perform these responsibilities will vary depending upon on many factors, including the store at which you work, the composition of the store team, the departments or areas that you oversee and your experience. This is a salaried, full-time position; the number of hours may vary from week to week.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED

• Multiple years experience managing a significant retail volume in a fast paced customer service environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a large team of associates
• Anticipate challenges and obstacles developing solutions to these problems
• Experience working in a fast paced and changing environment
• Experience working with all levels of management, building partnerships
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Open and close the store on an as needed basis
• Ability to occasionally work overnight

• Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing or moving about the sales floor

Your Responsibilities 

• Provide excellent customer service

• Meet sales goals through unit rentals, unit insurance, and moving supplies

• Guide new customers through rental processes and agreements

• Maintain facilities – sweeping, mopping, changing light bulbs, etc.

• Work independently on daily tasks as well as cooperate with team members

• May be required to run errands for the facility and travel to other store locations

Your Qualifications 

• Customer service experience preferred (i.e. retail sales, restaurant, sales associate, front desk, site management, and/or other customer-centered sales roles) 

• Strong computer skills 

• Valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
