This role is for a Senior Procurement Specialist in the centralised procurement team within Finance, reporting to the Deputy Head of Procurement. In this role you will play a key role in the delivery of a business-critical IT project which will take the form of multiple interdependent procurement projects and negotiations. The post holder will be required to meet fixed deadlines whilst identifying commercial strategies to ensure the successful delivery of all procurements related to this project. The role will also require supporting other areas of the team as directed by the line manager.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will have strong experience of working within a strategic procurement environment. In this role the candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with the IT department on identification of the requirements as well as lead market engagement and manage delivery of multiple procurement exercises to a successful outcome.

The post holder will have responsibility for the strategic sourcing and commercial management of designated goods, services and work-related commodities, ensuring maximisation of cost efficiencies through the implementation of best procurement practice. The Senior Procurement Specialist will take the lead and be responsible for their assigned commodity portfolio, particularly focussing on value for money against business needs, risk reduction and delivery of sustainable procurement outcomes.

Applicants should have a relevant degree or equivalent. You should have sound experience in a strategic procurement environment, a strong working knowledge of legislation and contract law and a proven record of accomplishment in delivering robust commercially sound IT contracts.

About the role

Embrace a challenging role as Senior Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) Inventory Specialist working across Bega’s national manufacturing network. This newly created role will drive operational excellence by leading the standardisation and optimisation of MRO inventory master data and associated business process. You will coach and develop site-based stores and purchasing roles, develop and improve business processes, analyse data, and identify strategic inventory opportunities. With moderate supervision, the Senior Guest Advisor assists the store management team in executing and supervising all store activities. They provide outstanding guest service experiences within a sales culture that utilizes elements of GameStop's Circle of Life buy, sell, trade, and reservation business model. This position ensures products are easily accessible and purchasable, boosts sales by sharing product and gaming knowledge with guests, maintains a clean and organized shopping environment, and fosters guest loyalty and repeat business.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

• Provide best-in-class guest service: promptly greet guests, respond to guest questions/concerns promptly, effectively, and courteously, assist guests in meeting their video gaming needs, inform guests about special promotions and the trade-in program, recommend additional items as appropriate, apply all selling behaviors during each transaction, and express gratitude to every guest for choosing GameStop. Prioritize guests over tasks and demonstrate this commitment by circulating throughout the store.

• Count, balance, and reconcile daily business transaction totals accurately in the POS system. Ensure that all closeout paperwork for daily business transactions and bank deposit slips are completed correctly and accurately. Assist management in ensuring the store has sufficient cash and change for sales transactions. Make daily bank deposits following established guidelines.
• Check shipments for discrepancies or shortages and record any discrepancies in the POS system. Report any discrepancies to the Store Leader / Store Leader 2/Assistant Store Leader as needed.
• Process defectives/recalls, and stock pulls accurately and promptly, ensuring that all boxes are properly labeled and include packing lists.
• Visually inspect associates' and leaders' packages and/or belongings at store closing or at the end of a shift.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to Guest Advisors in the absence of management.
• Consistently adhere to GameStop policies and procedures, including but not limited to attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
• Follow all opening and closing procedures.
• Observe associate performance and provide timely and appropriate feedback to the store management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must provide proof of eligibility to legally work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.**
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.
• Must be able to work alone, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.
