This role would suit an individual who has previous experience in a support type role and has been part of a team that has provided procurement support or potentially an individual that has worked in a contract management area. Use of e procurement tender portals is an advantage, the council uses Proactis, so any experience in this system would be an advantage. Experience of procuring or managing frameworks or having a general understanding of how frameworks or dynamic purchasing systems work would be beneficial. Core office hours will need to be worked, the majority of the work will be remote with occasional office working days or meetings in Southampton Civic Centre. The contract offered is for 3 days per week, the clientis flexible and would be happy to discuss the working days, but working some days earlier in the week will be part of the requirement.

This is a full time permanent position based at our customers distribution centre in Southampton

• Rate of pay: £22,912 per annum
• Weekly hours: 37.5 hours plus daily 30-min unpaid break
• Shift Patterns: 5 days out of 7 - Shifts between 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00 & 22:00-06:00 +0.50p per hour night bonus

A day in the life of a Warehouse Operative

As a Warehouse Operative, you will work as part of a dynamic and supportive team in what can be described as a fast-paced and target driven environment to ensure the stock entering or leaving the depot is accurate.

Our activities vary, so often, you may be required to work across multiple different workstreams such as Goods Inbound checks, Picker Accuracy audits and Load Adherence checks most of which require periods of manual handling.

Job activities

• Audit the Inbound accuracy of supplier deliveries on the GFR program.
• Audit Picker accuracy of stock destined for stores and fully investigate all errors found.
• Adhere to agreed audit and error verification procedures at all times.
• Maintain integrity at all times.
• Ensure the expected productivity levels are achieved, in line with customer expectations.
• Review daily targets in line with customer expectations.

General Duties To work as a member of the procurement team participating in the development and implementation of customers procurement strategies by ensuring it is communicated, understood and supported by budget managers and stakeholders, so achieving the departments objectives and ensuring commercial arrangements are optimised. Liaise with Stakeholders to resolve the matter.
