You are responsible for overseeing the efficient and smooth operations of our warehouse. You play a crucial role in managing inventory, coordinating shipping and receiving activities and ensuring a safe and organised workspace for warehouse employees.
Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
· Maintain accurate inventory records
· Monitor and control inventory levels
· Conduct periodic stock audits to maintain optimal inventory levels
· Ensure all goods are in proper storage and handling
Order Fulfilment
· Coordinate the fulfilment of customer orders in a timely and accurate manner
· Ensure on-time shipments and minimizing backorders
Shipping and Receiving
· Oversee the shipping and receiving processes, verify incoming and outgoing shipments, and ensure proper handling and storage of goods
· Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and condition of products before shipment
Process Improvement
· Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement efficient procedures to enhance warehouse productivity
· Optimize warehouse layout to maximize space and improve in workflow efficiency
Equipment Maintenance
· Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and vehicle, such as delivery vans, pallet jacks, and etc to ensure their proper functioning
· Provide advice to users on proper usage
Safety and Compliance
· Maintain cleanliness and organization to facilitate easy access to goods without safety hazard
· Enforce safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations
· Report all incidents and emergency to management in a timely manner
· Perform risk assessment of work activities, take corrective and preventive actions accordingly
· Attend health and safety training programs
Documentation and Reporting
· Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities
· Prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), and share insights with management
· Ensure all documents are kept in confidentially and properly
Communication
· Facilitate effective communication between warehouse staff, management, and other departments to ensure a seamless flow of information.
Team Leadership
· Manage and direct warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, providing training, and conducting performance evaluations.
Budget Management
· Assist in budget planning and monitor expenses to ensure cost-effective warehouse operations.
· Other duties as assigned by head of department.
Requirements:
- Minimum diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in warehouse.
- Prior experience in the FMCG industry is advantageous.
