We seek help in achieving these missions with a sustainable supply chain specialist, helping to create our restorative supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Act as subject matter expert to conduct research and provide advice to stakeholders, to enable informed business decisions aligned with the Bank’s sustainability agenda
- Identify, evaluate, and engage with suppliers to foster strategic partnerships aimed at driving sustainability improvements
- Develop precise sustainability specifications and business requirements for vendor products and services that are integral to the Bank's operations
- Identify sustainability initiatives and improvement opportunities, provide recommendations for prioritization, and develop comprehensive Bank-wide implementation plans
- Take on a leadership role in key sustainable operations projects, establishing frameworks and extracting valuable lessons learnt
- Ensure compliance with all relevant sustainability regulations and standards
- Provide support in the preparation of KPIs and sustainability reporting as required
- Additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by senior management and the Procurement Sustainability Team Lead, provided they fall within the scope of sustainable procurement and are in alignment with the Bank's sustainability agenda
- Help educate and train procurement partners to empower the department to achieve restorative procurement goals
Requirements
- Degree from a reputable university
- Minimum 8 years of experience in driving sustainable supply chain agenda or related fields of work.
- Strong track record of relevant experience and accomplishments in a related field
- Familiar with concepts such as materiality, risk management, human rights, fair labour standards, modern slavery, ethics, anti-corruption, occupational health and safety, and restorative procurement, etc.
- Customer-focused, excellent relationship management and communications skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and in the written word
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- A team player who is passionate about sustainability and committed to continuously improve
- Able to skillfully navigate volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity and to drive amazing solutions and experiences for stakeholders
