PURPOSE
The Purchasing intern will support the APAC Purchasing function with all aspect of Purchasing engagements and activities in the region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cost analysis and maintenance of vendor quotations
- Maintenance of APAC Purchasing database
- Quotation tracker
- Project tracker
- Supplier records
- Support Supplier on-boarding process
- Purchasing contracts management
- Sourcing engagements for APAC sites
- Facilitate compliance to Purchasing process
- Identify and drive improvement of local Purchasing processes and ways of working
EXPERIENCE
- A current undergraduate in the field of Business, IT, Engineering, Science, etc.
- Keen interest in the field of Procurement
- Good understanding and application of Microsoft Office suites with focus on MS Excel
- Self-initiative, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Positive mindset, proactive, resourceful, critical thinker and problem-solver with good communication skills
