Summary of Role:
The candidate in this role is responsible for planning the supply of spare/maintenance/consumable parts to maintain optimum inventory levels (consumables, spares, etc.) and ensure the efficient running of the center. His other roles are being ISO certified and working on End Users Certifications (EUC).
Essential Responsibilities include:
- Plan and schedule Spare parts requirements based on demand plan/material requirement requests from Fabs.
- Regularly review inventory levels for specific categorization of materials.
- Regular monitoring of critical materials to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing.
- Coordinate with warehouse/logistics to ensure accurate inventory levels and stock availability.
- Publish essential spare parts metrics/KPIs to management on a timely basis.
- Derive the material requirement plan based on the master production schedule to procure and source.
- Good Knowledge of Inventory management.
- Oversee the department R&M/Chemicals, etc. stores – upkeep with house-keepings, periodic cycle counts.
- Maintain the inventory database, ensuring timely and accurate recordings.
- In charge of day-in-day-out logistics operations.
- Coordinate with and on the movement of materials.
- Must work closely with operation teams on the center's logistic needs.
- Ensure to adhere to zero safety requirements.
- Work on continuous improvement program in logistics operations.
- Providing day-to-day operations in FAB production material planning, inventory management, and procurement.
- Planned and monitored production schedule in the high-mix, low-volume environment (HMLV).
- Collaborate across departments in the planning process to plan and purchase materials requirements and meet the production plan effectively.
- Follow through with the orders from the start till delivery and ensure that goods are delivered on time.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities safely and responsibly and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS) requirements and programs.
- Support ISO certification and across suppliers' EUC requirements
- Support internal audit program by conducting ISO9001/TS16949 audits, gap analysis, and corrective action implementation
- Research best practices and conduct benchmarking related to QMS processes, methods, and tools
- Based upon the overall Quality System performance, identify critical systems or processes where quality improvements are required, initiate projects or activities to analyze, evaluate and propose solutions to address the problem and improve performance
Requirements:
- Degree in relevant fields with minimum of 2 years of professional experience in procurement, consulting, program management, and supply chain & inventory
- Direct experience in pricing and contract negotiations, supplier relationship management, business strategy, contract manufacturing/outsourcing, and continuous process improvement.
- Communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
- Develop and maintain collaborative business relationships with stakeholders and align ISO/EUC requirements for the program.
- Interact with all levels of the organization.
- Perform in a very fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in a multi-task environment.
