About the role?
Reporting to the Bid Manager you will:
• Plan, write, edit and submit tenders owning an opportunity through all stages from tender release to submission
• Research and review opportunities, identifying key requirements and communicating the requirements effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Obtain information required to produce compelling, high-quality bids from internal and external stakeholders, including through own research

You should have great project management skills and be able to bring information from various sources into compelling written proposals. You will have written entire tenders having owned an opportunity from tender release through to award and implementation. Reporting to the Bid Manager you will be a supportive team member able to work in a fast-paced environment, with competing deadlines and able to use your excellent communication skills to influence key stakeholders. Having experience of Local Government tendering would be an advantage.

Requirements
Required education and experience

Essential:

A minimum of 2 years’ professional bid writing experience.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field to support responsibilities.
Desirable:

Master’s degree in a related field to support experience and role requirements.
Experience in ethical AI or responsible innovation, especially as applied to public sector projects.


Professional knowledge and technical skills

Essential:

Familiarity with public sector procurement and tendering processes, including experience with frameworks such as G-Cloud, Digital Marketplace.
Proven experience in successful bid management, proposal writing, within the AI space.
Experience in agile software development methodologies.
Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions.
Good understanding of AI, machine learning, and data science technologies, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
• A PhD (or equivalent) in quantum physics / quantum technologies, including but not limited to quantum computing / simulation, quantum communication / cryptography, and quantum metrology.
• Some postdoctoral research experience is preferred but not essential. A thorough understanding of the fundamentals of the subject is essential.
• A passion for science and a thirst to learn more, with the ability to demonstrate the breadth of your interest in scientific research, both within and beyond your speciality and across the wider field of physics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be fluent in English (written and spoken).
• The ability to read and assess the novelty, context and implications of research submitted to the journal from different areas of this discipline.
• Eagerness to travel and meet scientists worldwide, learn more about them and their research, and help them learn more about us and what we are looking for in the papers we seek to publish.
• Editorial experience is not required, although applicants with significant editorial experience are encouraged to apply and will potentially be considered for Senior Editor positions.

Main duties:
Requires a Full clean driving licence
Fitting of paper & paste advertising media on roadside Advertising Hoardings across Yorkshire & Humberside.
You would need to work to strict H&S policies.
Ensure work is completed within time, quality and specified service standards
Carry out routine visual checks of panels along with routine maintenance and repairs to Hoardings such as painting , installation of branding and removal of vegetation
Experience in working at height and working from ladders would be an advantage as this is required in all aspects of the position.
Training in posting will be provided.
Working hours are 7am - 4pm 40 paid hours shifts times can vary to suit Hoarding locations so hours can be flexible.
The office / base is located in Leeds LS11 however the hoardings to cover are based mostly in Humberside and Sth Yorkshire but we do cover all of Yorkshire and have a branch in Warrington and Gateshead

The future holds a prosperous event calendar ahead, we are seeking Event Safety Stewards to join our ever-expanding teams, providing support at a variety of major and well establish venues.

The role of an Event Safety Steward is largely focused on customer service so you will need to be confident and approachable with a polite and friendly demeanor.

Whether you’re looking for lots of work or just a handful of shifts, our casual contract offers you great flexibility. However, you must be able to work some Friday and/ or Saturday shifts (but not necessarily every week).

In addition to local work, you will have the opportunity to work at venues and events further afield if you are willing and able to do so! From the far reaches of Scotland to the Southern Coast of Bournemouth and Southampton. You will have access to amazing opportunities at major events and festivals across the UK.

Of particular interest are candidates who would be interested commencing as an Event Safety Steward but quickly training to become a licensed SIA Door Supervisor (subject to you meeting certain criteria, TPS may support you with the cost of this).
