MAC is looking for an administration and project support officer to join our multi-award-winning organisation, to work closely with the youth violence coordinator, wider team of practitioners and senior leadership team to provide a comprehensive support function.

The Cerridwen (youth violence) programme at MAC supports young people who are identified as engaging in or at risk of aggressive or violent behaviours. It is designed to increase empathy and emotional literacy and explore coping strategies to de-escalate behaviour, reduce levels of aggression and frequency of violence to prevent offending behaviour.

The role will be responsible for providing all the necessary project specific and administrative support, enabling the coordinator, practitioners (based across delivery areas) and senior leadership team at MAC to effectively deliver the youth violence (Cerridwen) project and achieve its outcomes. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills and be able to professionally communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Administration and Project Support
• To provide a range of daily administrative and project support tasks
• To draft notes, minutes, and other project correspondence
• To follow up on outstanding project actions as required
• To help support the project monitoring and tracking of activities, including compiling and reviewing project metrics and analysing and presenting information
• To support the coordinator in the collation of project information, and the production and submission of project reporting as required
• To support the coordinator with the development of any necessary systems, processes and templates
• To advise and assist the wider project team in the adoption of systems, processes and templates, ensuring high standards and consistency is maintained
• To help the coordinator maintain and quality assure project databases and reports
• To help plan and coordinate project meetings and events, ensuring all necessary arrangements are made
• To order stationery and other resources to help support project delivery
• To support with the verification and processing of project invoices and expenses in line with MAC’s financial control and other related policies to ensure all project budget and expenditure information is correctly reconciled and reported

Communications
• To contribute to the preparation, implementation and monitoring of project communications
• To maintain a good working knowledge of MAC’s youth violence programme and wider support and interventions to help respond to enquiries
• To act, if required, as the initial point of contact for project enquiries, ensuring excellent onward communications to the relevant individual(s)/team(s)
• To promote restorative approach methods, values and principles wherever necessary
• To make and maintain positive, professional relationships/links with local services, partners and other stakeholders
Team working
• To be an active and informed member of the youth violence team

What you will do?
