The Digital Content and PR Executive is a marketing delivery role responsible for developing impactful content, stories and news
to our communities that support our overall marketing objectives.
You will work cross-departmentally on projects that engage our communities through content delivery via our direct digital
channels (social, email, website) and building relationships with external outlets such as press and influencers' across our
region.
YMCA Robin Hood has undertaken a significant period of growth and service development in recent years, this role will help us to
connect with our communities, primarily focusing on three main engagement areas:
Engaging our communities with digital content
Working with the wider marketing team, in particular our graphic designer, and organisation stakeholders to plan, create, and
deliver digital content across our channels such as our social media pages, digital ad campaigns, websites and email marketing.
Leading on content creation and delivery.
Developing relationships with our community through PR and copy content
Building relationships with local press (TV, radio, news outlets, magazines), local influencers and digital communities alongside
senior marketing team members. Providing compelling stories of our services, our people, our impact and our activity.
Additionally, reacting to local topics of interest, communications and chaperoning service users, press and media when required
with a senior marketing team member.
Creating copy content for digital marketing channels
Be responsible for our digital content calendar along with supporting campaigns with website edits, copy content and email
marketing.
About You
Through your portfolio of work you will be able to showcase your experience of working across a variety of social media channel
and platform, creating great, targeted content. You will also be able to share your experience of writing press releases where
you have built positive relationships with local press and new outlets.
You might also have gained experience of email marketing campaigns and creating content for websites including photo and video
shoots.
You will love being creative and have a natural flair for creating engaging, impactful contact which really speaks to your target
audience.
With good face to face and written communication skills, you will be able to work with stakeholders to understand their needs and
also share your concepts before writing accurate, compelling and appropriate content. You must be able to work to tight deadlines
and manage a fast paced workload, able to responding to the needs of the organisation.
You will be supported by the wider Marketing & PR team and you will work closely as a team collaborating on pieces of work and
also working independently.
You will primarily be based from our Nottingham City Centre head office based within the Malt Cross, but you must be willing and
able to regularly travel to our Community & Activity Village in Newark, another key location for us. It is possible you may be
working from an office 5 days a week if required but we do try to provide 1 day working from home.
