As a Plate Printer Supervisor, you will:

• Assign, direct, and review through subordinate supervisors or personally the work of subordinates, and evaluate their work performance.
• Resolve problems related to the work supervised and determine materials and equipment necessary to complete currency order.
• Deal with employees and union representatives regarding employee suggestions, complaints, grievances, and perform a variety of administrative and other ministerial duties attendant to the sections production responsibilities.

• Collaborating with subject matter experts to write, review, condense, and edit all technical documents produced by Jacksonville Districts Planning and Policy Division for external distribution.
• Reviewing and editing all documents from technical team members and contributors for content, organization, accuracy, grammar, consistency, conciseness, literary quality, and format in accordance with Army regulations and professional standards.
• Ensuring that documents contain effective visual aids (photos, drawings, tables, etc.) to adequately illustrate key ideas and topics, or to emphasize critical points.
• Provide technical writing and editing assistance across Planning and Policy Division to improve overall quality and consistency of deliverable products.
• Exploring a broad range of resources including library research, interviews with subject-matter experts, and team meetings to obtain, analyze, and verify information, manages records, files, and Contracting Officer Representative files.

• Assists in starting equipment via touch screen, adjusts and help operate a variety of automatic bindery machines containing multiple functions and station capabilities.
• Assists in combining electro-mechanically with other equipment and devices to produce a complete bindery and finishing unit that processes printed sheets into final books, catalogs, manuals, directories, magazines or other completed products.
• Assists in making needed adjustments to coordinate the multiple workstations on a single machine.
• Observes how to interpret job orders, which may be for one-of-a-kind materials; documents how to plan bindery operations utilizing the most efficient procedures and methods to meet job requirements to complete a combined finishing operation.
• Shadows Bindery Operators in inspecting the work-in-process throughout the manufacturing process of U.S. Passports, Passport related components, Smart Cards, and Smart Card related components.

• Plans, establishes and implements workflow methods, makes recommendations on current practices and procedures, and advises subordinates on the implementation of new and improved procedures.
• Assess the needs of subordinates' access to automated data systems, i.e., Oracle, PROBE and WebTA.
• Conducts walk-thru’s of all work areas, during the course of an eight-hour shift at a minimum
• Provides contract oversight as the Contract Officer Representative (COR) or through the assigned COR
• Establishes work flow and methods, overall goals, and standards to meet and support the mission of GPO.
