We are looking for an Account Manager to join our commercial team, working across Hull & East Yorkshire.
As an Account Manager your role will be to primarily grow and develop a territory with exciting potential, selling a range of creative marketing solutions from bespoke music, radio, and digital audio advertising campaigns to social media marketing campaigns.
You will embody Bauer Media’s values and drive Bauer’s company strategy and goals into the commercial business to a high standard within agreed parameters and desired timelines. Taking personal revenue responsibility for some existing accounts within your territory, whilst also hunting for new clients, to grow revenues across the specific postcodes, as well as the wider Bauer portfolio of radio brands, sponsorships, creative and digital products.

Representing the Bauer Audio UK portfolio including the most listened to commercial radio brand
- Greatest Hits Radio brand, as well as Magic, Kiss, Absolute, Scala and many others, across Hull & East Yorkshire. You will be part of a successful and driven local team, working within a specific postcode territory and ultimately responsible for your own piece of the world – hunting for new business, working with and advising existing clients about the right Bauer brands and products, to help their business to be even more successful.

This role will be a mixture of home, field and office working and includes a company car or car allowance.
What you will do
Our advertising clients are at the core of everything we do. As an Account Manager, you will be working hard to attract and win new clients and develop our existing client portfolio, whilst feeling fully supported.
You will be responsible for:
- Executing Bauer’s commercial strategy
- Growing group revenues across your specific territory and the wider Bauer portfolio
- Managing advertising inventory and price
- Developing key internal and external customer relationships
- Achieving personal and team revenue targets

Communication skills when it comes to asking the right questions, to understand the needs of our customers, and turn fact finds into briefs, which enable us to create campaign strategies that will work and keep our clients coming back time after time.
The ability to collaborate, create great pitches, present to customers, and work well with other team members, and key stakeholders is essential.
You will have a strong work ethic, be able to get the job done, but also enjoy having fun with your work family too.
Technological: You should demonstrate high proficiency in technological systems and programs and an ability to learn and adapt quickly when necessary.
Ideally proficient within MS office, you will have skills in creating both visually and verbally engaging reports and presentations for your customers, the senior sales management, sales teams, and all relevant stakeholders.
Analytical Skills: You will ideally have a keen interest in conducting research and data-driven insights.
The candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of the business’s product range as well as standard strategic, analytical, and marketing concepts.
A suitable candidate for this position will also have a deep understanding of the business’s marketplace models as well as the opportunities and limitations that come along with it.
Interpersonal Skills: As an Account Manager you will possess certain interpersonal skills that will encourage openness and trust both internally and externally.
You will be self-motivated, have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, be adaptable to business growth fluctuations, work comfortably and effortlessly in group settings, be a persuasive and charismatic individual, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and work well within a pressured deadline environment.
The successful candidate must also demonstrate the ability to remain calm under pressure and during uncertainty.
Leadership/People Skills: You will need to demonstrate effective people skills, portraying an ability to move and inspire internal and external customers in a unified direction with vision and understanding.
Being a representative of the business, you must also be approachable and able to form strong and long-lasting relationships both internally and externally on behalf of the business.
Results Driven: As an Account Manager you will be results driven and be able to demonstrate a proven track record in achieving both personal and team revenue targets.
