Science Museum Group's Enterprises is an integral, profit-making function, allowing our museums to keep our collections accessible whilst investing in our cultural offer and customer experience. The Events team support with promoting our spaces and running amazing events, ranging from conferences, product launches, dinners, receptions, Christmas parties and private events.
To support the Events team across our Northern museums, we are now seeking an Events Sales and Marketing Executive to join us on a full-time permanent basis, based in any of our museums located in Manchester, York, Shildon or Bradford.
Please note - due to the nature of this role, some travel across all our Northern sites is an expectation.
About the role
The Events Sales and Marketing Executive role will cover a wide range of responsibilities, from promoting our museums to confirming the event. You will be the first point of contact for any new and existing clients wishing to host an event with us, responding to queries as they come in, and supplying the client with a bespoke proposal based on their event brief. You will conduct site visits with the client and contractors, and will account manage your clients to increase repeat bookings. You will also manage administrative tasks such as raising invoices, purchase orders and creating contracts for confirmed bookings, ensuring that all financial information relating to events is recorded accurately.

About you
Joining us, you will bring reactive sales experience, along with some exposure to the events industry. You'll hold good networking and communication skills with an ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of people, and private and corporate clients on all levels.
