Subject: Media Studies plus a couple of GCSE Fast Track English, A level Media, L2 and L3 BTEC Diploma Creative Media Skills classes.
Timetable: Full Time
We are working in partnership with an Ofsted 'Good' Sixth Form College in Leicester who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Media Studies Teacher to start as soon as possible. This is a full-time position until 24th May initially with the possibility to extend. To be successful, you will be a Media Studies Teacher with recent experience teaching GCSE and A Level. Experience of teaching GCSE Fast Track English, A level Media, L2 and L3 BTEC Diploma Creative Media Skills classes is desirable but not essential.
Job Description
- Delivering engaging and creative Media Studies lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Teaching a couple of GCSE Fast Track English, A level Media, L2 and L3 BTEC Diploma Creative Media Skills classes
- Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
- Contributing to the development of the department's curriculum.
- Participating in extracurricular activities such as sports clubs and school trips.
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in Media or related field
- Recent experience teaching Media Studies at secondary school level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
- Experience of teaching GCSE Fast Track English, A level Media, L2 and L3 BTEC Diploma Creative Media Skills is desirable but not essential
