Event sales managers are responsible for all elements of event planning, including identifying event logistics and negotiating contracts. They coordinate event logistics, proactively communicate event information, and set clear expectations for event delivery. Event sales managers work well under pressure, are able to manage multiple activities simultaneously, and re-prioritize efforts when plans change or the need arises.
Event sales senior executives/ managers analyze and reconcile disparate event details, and consolidate the information into actionable event plans.
Responsibilities:
• To sell events and to manage and drive the event sales team to achieve revenue targets.
• To develop and implement the events marketing strategy and develop products within clients' budget & expectations.
• To provide direction for the event sales team in the general administration and operation of all events.
• To contribute to the Company's overall business activities and strategic planning .
• Ensure consistent targeted responses to sales enquiries and confirmed bookings
• Proactively sell venues to new clients growing the client base
• Proactive account management to grow incremental revenue including leading client presentations and negotiating agreements
• Create and implement practices and processes to ensure positive customer experiences to create repeat business
• Responsible for creating and delivering sales plan in coordination with client/guest experience – bring the sales plan to life! EVENT SALES STRATEGY
• Develops, prioritizes, and implements strategic sales plans, including customer promotion programs, press events, trade show activities, and sales meetings
• Pre-, day-of, and post-event sales and delivery team coordination, training, and accountability
• Ensure pitches line up with content being presented
Qualifications
• Event sales managers must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. High-energy and creative individuals, who possess excellent customer service and sales skills, are especially effective in this position.
• Individuals interested in pursuing the position of event sales manager should have a Local Diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree and/or Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) certification are preferred.
• In addition, typically require three to five years of experience in organizing and managing events, including Corporate meetings, Trainings, luncheons, Dinner & Dance, Family Carnivals, teambonding and other special occasions are preferred.

Requirements:
• At least 2-3 years of experience in corporate sales (events and/or hospitality sales will be preferred)
• Strong track record of meeting and/or exceeding Sales KPIs in previous roles
• Meticulous and great attention to detail
• Highly organized with good time management skills
• Have leadership experience managing and/or mentoring a team
• Strong communication skills – verbal, written, and presentations
• Able to work under pressure in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Proactive and can solve problems independently
• Work well with others as a good team player
• Demonstrate a high level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information appropriately
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace applications (i.e. Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc)
