Pfizer is driving a transformation of its marketing organization, that will see the best marketers of science support the most trusted brand in the industry. As part of this transformation, Pfizer has brought on board its first-ever Global CMO, Drew Panayiotou, who is standing up a best-in-class Leadership Team made up of subject matter experts and visionary practitioners. The Senior Manager, Integrated Media Strategy will be a key role within the CMO, helping define the media strategy for Pfizer products and serving as the chief point of connection between media and commercial teams.
This position will report to the Senior Director, Integrated Media Strategy and be instrumental in helping to craft integrated media strategy for commercial products. This candidate will bring a deep understanding of the intricacies of full-funnel marketing for major brands with digital experience at their core. This person will partner closely with other members of the CMO as well as other organizations to drive a robust, data-driven, and highly strategic approach that moves Pfizer from a leading ‘pharma’ brand into a leading healthcare and patient-first organization.
The Senior Manager, Integrated Media Strategy is responsible for helping define the integrated media strategy for several dedicated brands and will play a lead role in developing our go-to-market approach. This candidate will partner closely with the media agency and other key constituents in the CMO organization to develop audience-centric, insight-driven media strategy and tactical plans across paid, owned, and earned media channels. The ideal candidate is results-driven with a focus on achieving marketing excellence and delivering measurable performance results.
In this newly created role, the Senior Manager, Integrated Media Strategy must leverage strong cross-functional abilities to collaborate effectively with a number of key business partners. To be successful in this role, the candidate will seek cross-stakeholder insights and perspectives from and collaborate with the following teams:
Interface with the Media Agency and any external agencies supporting Pfizer, working closely together to incorporate media best practices
Partner with Commercial Marketing Teams to design and implement audience-centric media strategy and tactical plans that deliver against a specific product’s marketing objectives
Leverage insights from CRM & Audience Intelligence to craft highly impactful audience strategy
Partner with Commercial Analytics team to action insights from the MROI model into media mix decision-making
Collaborate with Media counterparts (Performance Media, Earned & Partnership Media) to support strategy and activation across paid, owned and earned media
Align closely with Media Measurement team to analyze media performance on a regular cadence and implement optimizations on an ongoing basis
Manage the development of media plans across paid, owned and earned channels in partnership the media agency
Effectively manage media budgets for assigned products
Proactively seek new opportunities to innovate media plans by meeting with and assessing new partners, platforms and placements
Cultivate deep understanding of the commercial products and Therapeutic Area landscape it supports
Partner with creative teams to ensure impactful and relevant creative delivery at media touchpoints
Provide ongoing media support to brand marketing partners on an ad hoc basis
Make ongoing media investment optimizations based on insights derived from performance data
Become a super user of the agency dashboards to help answer questions related to media delivery and performance

7+ years Marketing or Media experience in a professional environment
BS Degree in Marketing or equivalent experience (MBA Preferred)
Broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare environment (HCP media experience preferred but not required)
Deep experience in digital strategy and performance tactics that lead to business outcomes
Understanding of data-driven media planning and buying approaches
Familiarity with media and vendor landscape and application of media trends in powering business results
Experience with working with agencies, technology companies, or consulting partners in advertising and marketing tech
Proven ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams
Exceptional interpersonal skills and mastery of working in a matrixed environment
Excellent communication skills; can articulate complex concepts to a diverse audience
Creative, innovative problem solver who leads with insights derived from data
Strong writing, presentation and influencing skills
Demonstrate ability to thrive under pressure, to take accountability and to meet deadlines
