More detail about the role We are a busy 24 bedded emergency surgical assessment unit caring for emergency admissions in the specialities of colorectal, urology and gynaecology including early pregnancy complications. Within the ward we have a separate ambulatory assessment unit, taking admissions from the emergency department and GP referrals and a surgical emergency outpatient clinic and our staff work within all of these areas. KGV is a great ward for learning and developing your skills and competence and have an experienced and supportive team who are passionate about the care that we deliver. As a team, we strive for excellence in everything that we do; incorporating the trusts values in every aspect of our care. Previous gynaecology experience in assessment units is preferable but not essential. A current and valid NMC registration is required for this nursing post. Full or part time hours available. Working Pattern: All posts include a commitment to work days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays as necessary to meet the needs of the service.
