We are looking to recruit a cleaner to undertake various cleaning responsibilities at Ysgol Dyffryn Aeron to ensure that the school is kept in a clean and hygienic condition.
The Cleaning Service provides an essential service throughout the County of Ceredigion. The purpose of the role is to complete cleaning tasks to a high standard, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
While experience and knowledge of Health and Safety would be advantageous, full training will be provided. Good communication skills are required. All roles will require flexibility in terms of location and hours worked, which may include early mornings and evenings. A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this post.
Day-to-day tasks will include:
Cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuuming, emptying litter bins, damp wiping, and dusting of designated areas (which may include toilet and shower areas), and fixtures and fittings, using appropriate powered equipment as necessary.
We are looking for an individual who is motivated, enthusiastic about the nature of the work, has a flexible attitude, and is able to carry out various duties with a variable work schedule.
Please note that a successful applicant without the required Welsh language skills will be fully supported to reach the required standard within two years of appointment.
Supervise Manage and oversee cleaning staff, assign tasks, and ensure everyone is working efficiently.
Oversee the proper use, maintenance, and repair of cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and mops.
