The RE functions include supporting the Senior Resident Engineer (SRE) by participating in design management with the CFM Project Manager (PM) and VA Medical Center (MC) stakeholders; and when applicable, monitoring various ongoing construction activities and schedule for conformance with contract requirements. The University Hospitality Department provides catering to students, staff and external customers throughout the academic year and during the summer months. There are numerous outlets run by the Hospitality Department offering a range of food and drink options.

We have a vacancy for general Porter in in the hospitality department. This role will be supporting the food outlets in the west of campus. As a Kitchen Porter you will be responsible for delivering and receiving stock, maintaining excellent hygiene standards, operating dishwashers and carrying out daily cleaning of kitchen equipment, cutlery and crockery as well as setting up tables and furniture.

The successful candidate should work well within a team and have experience of working in a kitchen porter/general porter role and providing an excellent standard of customer service.

During term time the role is mainly Mon-Fri with occasional weekend requirements. During the summer there is an increased requirement for weekend and late evening shifts to be covered on a 5 out of 7 days per week contract (36.5 hours per week). About the role:

As a Domestic Assistant you will be required to clean student kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms in accordance with service level agreements and standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

Other responsibilities include the setup of student and guest rooms, reporting maintenance requirements and ensuring health and safety within the workplace.

The residences are used by students and external customers and cleaning is required in some areas at weekends, therefore there is an expectation to work weekends on a rota basis. Weekend rota work requirements apply mainly during peak periods.

You will work 5 days out of 7 and have days off during the week when you are required to work at weekends. The hours for this role are 9am to 5:20pm.

Job Description

The Patient Account Representative performs Physician billing and account follow-up, and customer service activities.  Ensures claims are billed timely and accurately using the Hospital Claims Scrubber Tool.  Reports all unbilled claim information and issues that may delay billing to Management to ensure there is no adverse effect cash collections and Accounts Receivable.  Receives and processes correspondence and phone inquiries from patients, payers or any other third party in a timely and professional manner.  Resolves accounts by contacting third party payer organizations or patients to facilitate timely payments.    Keeps informed of managed care and contractual arrangements in order to resolve and process accounts by HMO/PPO payers.  Monitors and reports on the status of outstanding accounts within assigned unit or area of responsibility.  Follows up on unpaid, denied, and all payment variances for account resolution.  Resolves credit balances that are due to patient and payers.  Posts daily cash and adjustments for Hospital and Professional billing. Ensure all accounts are resolved in a compliant manner and according to all rules and regulations. Works collaboratively with other team members in the work unit and shares knowledge and best practices

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalency.

One year related work experience in a physicians billing office.

Experience in health insurance, physician office and knowledge of insurance industry.

Understands Medicare, Medi-Cal HMO, PPO and 3rd party rules and regulations.

Understands the basics of contracting
