Do you have what it takes?
• Previous management experience is a prerequisite for this role.
• Proven track record in effectively managing and inspiring a diverse team.
• Cash-handling experience and a strong understanding of financial management.
• A genuine passion for hostels and creating memorable experiences for guests.
• Extensive background in the hospitality industry, including bars, hotels, and hostels is a must.
• Demonstrated success in increasing trade, sales, and overall business performance.
What will your role involve?
• Leading and motivating a team of six individuals, inspiring them to uphold the highest standards.
• Providing exceptional customer service by personally meeting and greeting our guests.
• Regularly liaising with the owner to drive the business forward and ensure continued success.
• Addressing customer comments and complaints with professionalism and care.
• Troubleshooting and resolving any operational issues, occasionally assisting with light maintenance tasks.
• Ensuring the safety and security of the building, including effective management of CCTV systems.
• Conducting regular inspections of the premises and services to maintain quality standards.
• Managing our in-house booking system, overseeing website development, and promptly handling cancellations and no-shows.
• Ensuring compliance with licensing, health and safety, and other statutory requirements.
• Planning work schedules for all staff members and efficiently allocating resources.
• Identifying training needs and managing the performance of staff to foster professional growth.
