Connect Appointments are recruiting individuals to become Industrial Cleaning Operatives with our Polmont based client.

As an Industrial Cleaning Operative, you'll play a key role in maintaining and cleaning machinery, ensuring smooth operations. The job involves working at heights (harness training provided) and occasionally in confined spaces.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Performing scheduled and ad-hoc cleaning on industrial equipment to maintain high safety and operational standards
• Working at heights safely, following provided harness training
• Occasionally working in confined spaces
• Assisting with equipment maintenance by removing and replacing guards and preparing machinery for engineering tasks
• Conducting safety inspections and contributing to ongoing safety and operational improvements

To be successful in this Industrial Cleaning role, you will ideally have previous experience in a hands-on maintenance/engineering process environment. Combined with the following skills, traits and experience:

• Comfortable with working at heights and in confined spaces
• Good technical skills, ideally with a background in construction or maintenance
• Strong attention to detail, proactive, and willing to learn
• Valid driver's license is beneficial
• Awareness of electrical and mechanical hazards within a facility
• Knowledge and care for fire detection and extinguishing equipment
• An ability to demonstrate an understanding of process plant and maintenance/repair

As a Cleaner in the Falkirk area you will be motivated and enthusiastic in providing a clean and safe environment to a high standard for all staff/visitors. Previous experience as a Cleaner is desirable but is not essential. Ultimately, we are looking for individuals who display a positive attitude, are passionate, organised and can successfully work as part of a team. A strong willingness to learn is also critical.

You will work 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

This post is temporary until March 2025 due to service requirements.

Your Duties...
Our Housekeeping and Laundry assistants work closely with the Head of Housekeeping/Home Manager to maintain the highest level of cleanliness throughout the home, and laundry. Ensuring laundry is turned around efficiently.
