And now we’re here today. Diversey is now part of Solenis (read more) - a world player in the chemical cleaning & hygiene industry. We are looking for a talented and experienced marketing professional to join our global marketing team for this Benelux role based in either Belgium or the Netherlands.

Product or portfolio marketing is something you know ‘a thing or two’ about from your previous years in this field. Ideally, you have experience with managing a portfolio with similar products, although this is not a requirement.
Your new role
With our nearly 100-year heritage, we have quite some expertise in our company. We wouldn’t have existed without innovation and in this job, you are responsible for a huge part of this. In this role, you manage and lead the super innovative TASKI cluster portfolio for the Benelux. You are responsible for driving growth and profitability for your portfolio by for example New Product Development, product lifecycle management and activation of all new product introductions and innovations within the Benelux market. In other words: you are responsible for all product marketing needs within your portfolio, which includes everything from defining the medium- and long-term strategy, understanding the end customer needs and creating value propositions for white spaces and opportunities in the market. On top of the more strategic and tactical focus, the role is very hands-on and operational as you will be responsible for localizing and developing product support and marketing collateral materials.
Your responsibilities in a nutshell:
Aside from leading and managing the TASKI portfolio for the Benelux, you ensure implementation and delivery with excellence. The portfolio plans you develop are there to promote the TASKI portfolio together with sectors such as chemicals, consumables and service (30% of your time).
You’re an active member of the global TASKI project teams to further develop new innovations and propositions to add value and bring profitable growth to Diversey/Solenis (NPD/NPI) (30% of your time).
Taking the lead role in monitoring and managing the product life cycle, driving improvements in sales and profitability via portfolio mix optimizations and innovation roll out (20% of your time).
Localize and develop product support and marketing collateral materials whilst liaising with local sales organizations to present programs, activities and new product introductions and innovations (10% of your time).
Ensuring a high standard of execution and delivery across all projects (10% of your time).

- Global projects - We would love you to be involved in global projects and if you like also take the lead on projects. For example, this year a large event (Interclean) is hosted in the Netherlands, so ideally someone from the Benelux marketing team could lead this.

For example, you will be providing guidance to colleagues, set goals and review cluster sales performance. - Premium brand positioning - The Taski brand is positioned as a premium brand, and there are a lot of interesting storytelling opportunities that you can leverage. An example here is Mr Taski who originally came up with the concept of a single disc machine to clean.
- Working for a global market leader - Diversey and Solenis are both global players with a very strong reputation within our industry. Now both companies have merged together, we even have a bigger impact on the world and together form an even stronger brand (portfolios).
The ideal colleague
You are a talented marketing professional with several years of experience, for example in portfolio management, trade marketing, brand management or similar. It’s a plus if you have experience working within our sector with technological cleaning solutions, although that is not a must have. Ideally, we hire someone in early years of their marketing/portfolio management career that has the ambition to grow further into European or Global (leadership) roles later on. We are always hiring for future potential. And yes - we know unicorns don’t exist. But they do in our imagination.
The ideal new colleague can best be described as someone with grit, that is not afraid to speak up and naturally takes ownership and initiative. You are goal oriented, have a creative mindset where you are not afraid to think outside the box. There is a known direction, but it’s always good to think critically whether that is still the right direction/approach.
In addition, you have strong communication skills and are naturally good at building relationships as you will be collaborating with lots of colleagues across the organization. The majority of connections will be via video/online meetings, so that it is important to be able to make that ‘connection’ to someone also in a remote situation. You’ll leverage your communication skills to influence and motivate others, and then indirectly also to deliver results through others. Being responsible for the Taski portfolio is one of our most innovative ones, however, it is more ‘difficult’ to sell for our account managers as it will take more effort before a sale is made. Therefore, it is important that you can convince (as one of the examples) the sales team to also focus on the Taski products because it is worth it.
You understand the impact of your work on our business. Furthermore, you are eager, self-driven and willing to learn and grow. We live in an era of change, and hence agility and knowing how to deal with change and dive on new trends is crucial. Additionally, for this role excellent time management and knowing how to set priorities is crucial.
A few practicalities
You have a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or sufficient work experience. You don’t need a piece of paper, however, we will be assessing you on this level.
Excellent Microsoft office skills.
Fluent in Dutch, English and preferably also French.
Even though we appreciate your interest, if you don’t speak Dutch and English, we cannot consider you for this position.

What we offer
We offer a salary between €55.000 - €70.000 per year including holiday allowance (The Netherlands).
You receive €750,- gross December gratification.
We offer 2% flex benefits on top of your annual salary, which can be used for training, a bike scheme, extra days PTO or it can be paid out.
Participating in our bonus scheme, which is 5% on target earnings.
