A Supervisor will lead a team of 20+ delivery drivers to ensure reliable delivery of newspapers and magazines to private and business customers.

Distribution Supervisors are critical to their continued success and form an important part of their overall management function. You will have the following primary roles:

To manage and oversee the overall packing and distribution function within your territory (including overnight operations).
To ensure all deliveries are made accurately and on time in line with our expected service levels.
Support the recruitment, training and the retention process and pipeline to maintain acceptable staffing levels.
Be accountable for administration including morning handover of night’s outcomes, health & safety, and cover arrangements
Preparing rounds, monitoring time keeping and attendance, and other daily admin tasks
Where necessary, supervisors may be required to cover rounds or complete re-deliveries for which you will earn extra money.
Leading the team and moral of the workforce. On the ground support and presence required.

Role Overview:
The post holder will assist and support the Course Leader, Professional Practice Programme Manager and Professional Tutors with the day-to-day running and administration of the Part 3 programme.
The programme runs twice per annum, in the Autumn and the Spring. The former is during the first two weeks of September whereas the latter runs on Saturdays from early January to mid-March. The examination follows immediately after the course and includes written papers which candidates complete at home. The examination concludes with the oral, held in person and organised over three days. Ideally the postholder will work from the premises in Bedford Square, five days per week.

Hours: 37.5 hours – Various shifts Mon to Fri
Pay Rate: £11.60ph PAYE + £1.40 WTD = £13.00ph PAYE
Location: Birmingham
Duration: 3 months on going contract

Special Requirements:
Enhanced DBS required – Candidates happy to undertake DBS
General Drivers – standard licence
No more than 6 points on licence
Driving experience advantageous
Excellent communication and written skills
Range of shift times – Monday to Friday
Weekend/Evening may be available

Mobile cleaning operative required to work as part of a two person team, carrying out cleaning to residential blocks in the N/E/SW London area. Ideally situated in the Bromley/Catford area. A full driving licence is required. Company vehicle and mobile handset supplied. A DBS is required and can be applied for.
