- Leads and manages the Computational Aerosciences Branch with the Branch Chief by providing supervisory oversight, technical guidance, and personnel coordination in a complex and high-performing organization.
- Supports the Branch Chief by providing specific technical and administrative direction to subordinates, assisting in resource planning, aiding in development of strategic objectives, and defending organization and employee work to higher management.
- Plans and manages agency project supporting tasks involving innovative concepts or approaches.
- Supports the Branch Chief by managing a team of high-fidelity modeling and simulation code developers responsible for advancing computational fluid dynamics, aeroacoustics, fluid-structure interaction, and multi-physics capabilities.
- Provides guidance towards computational analysis tasks pertaining to space vehicle development, which include aerodynamic database generation and debris impact assessments for launch vehicles.
- Fosters inter-organizational technical collaboration and exchange, to include collaborators from NASA, industry, academia, and governmental entities, to advance the state of the art in computational aerosciences in service of the NASA missions.
- Perform a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.
