The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as an aircraft simulator and academic instructor for students enrolled in Mission Qualification Training (MQT), Instructor Upgrade Training (IPUG), Instrument Refresher Course (IRC), and Continuation Training (CT) programs designed to provide proficiency in the unit's primary tasked mission of High Altitude Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (HAISR).

Provides clinical case management and therapeutic intervention services to assigned Veterans.

Interventions will be specifically delivered in treatment modalities for addictions, substance abuse and dependence, complex mental health conditions, and PTSD.

Designs, plans and conducts various psycho-social educational classes and process groups related to helping the Veterans understand mental health and their needs and the impact on them and their whole life system of support.

Provides clinical services to Veterans admitted to the RRTP, which includes DCHV (Domiciliary Care for Homeless Veterans) programming, addictions treatment, mental health treatment, and PTSD treatment.

The incumbent is responsible for completing the following duties/responsibilities:

• Conducts psychosocial assessments to determine needs of Veterans and family members.

This is a full-time Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor position within the Fargo VA Health Care System. This position is located at the Minot Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). LPMHCs diagnose mental disorders, conduct psychological intake evaluations, and treat mental disorders through a variety of modalities including individual and group treatment (psycho-educational and psychotherapeutic).

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• The incumbent works with Veterans who are experiencing a wide range of complicated medical, psychiatric, emotional, behavioral, and psychosocial problems.
• Completes thorough psychosocial assessments to determine the psychosocial functioning and needs of Veterans and/or their families. The incumbent must be able to utilize this assessment in facilitating the Veteran's maximum use of treatment for attainment of the highest level of independence that is possible and practicable. Telehealth equipment will be utilized to deliver group and individual services, as well as education, through a variety of devices including computer, telephone, home clinical video telehealth.

Advanced Level Practice Dietitians are the subject matter experts in advanced clinical nutrition and uses knowledge, expertise, principles and/or current research to lead dietitians and nutrition specialty care teams to plan, implement, and evaluate organizational initiatives.
