Our client is currently looking for a Administrator who will support the daily operations of the transport company by performing a variety of administrative tasks. The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. While transport industry knowledge is advantageous, it is not essential for this role. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

**Key Responsibilities**
* Provide general administrative support to the management team and other departments
* Handle incoming calls, emails, and other communications, directing them to the appropriate personnel
* Maintain and update company records, databases, and filing systems.
* Prepare and manage documents, reports, and presentations.
* Assist in the preparation of transport schedules, delivery notes, and invoices.
* Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and filed correctly.
* Respond to customer inquiries and provide information regarding transport services
* Handle customer complaints and issues, escalating to the relevant department when necessary
* Maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners.
* Assist in the coordination of transport schedules and routes
* Monitor and update delivery and pick-up schedules to ensure timely operations
* Coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, and other team members to ensure smooth workflow.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
* Assist in maintaining safety records and documentation.
* Support the implementation of health and safety protocols within the office and transport operations.
* Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed
* Organise and schedule meetings, appointments, and company events
* Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient office environment.

**Qualifications:**
* Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within the transport or logistics industry.
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other office software.
* Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
**Preferred:**
* Knowledge of the transport and logistics industry.
* Experience with transport management software (e.g., TMS) or ERP systems.
