An exciting opportunity has come available for a house keeper to join ward 90, an acute Frailty ward within the division of Frailty and Ageing.
Applicants should be motivated, hard working, good IT skills, good at working within a team. and willing to work weekends.
Duties include organisation and ordering of stock, supporting catering staff with meal time, using online systems to order and maintain stock levels, maintain high standards of cleaning in the ward environment. and working closely with the senior nursing team to deliver high standards of care.

To oversee domestic duties in partnership with the domestic supervisor
• Assist in monitoring and assist in maintaining cleaning standards on the ward and report to the Ward Manager and Matron on the level of cleanliness in the area Participate in both domestic monitoring and PEAT inspections
• Spot cleaning i.e. ensure spillage’s are dealt with swiftly and efficiently
By working with, and following guidance from the nursing team, ensure equipment (both clinical and non-clinical) is in a clean condition and available for immediate use
• Upkeep of ward appearance i.e. remove clutter, tidy notice boards, attend to storage requirements, signage, tidy nurse station etc.
• Maintain up keep of patients bed/trolley area
• Maintain linen stocks on the ward ensuring a system is in place to notify the linen room supervisor of returns and re-washes
• Ensure bed curtains are clean and in a good state of repair. Set up a curtain cleaning rota as appropriate
• Bed making where appropriate
