• Prepare/manufacture teaching material as required
• Maintaining appropriate stock levels of solutions and consumables

• Collection of resources from classrooms and work areas
• Maintain efficient, effective and organised laboratory/stores
• Ensure chemicals / produce are stored correctly
• Ordering, stock control and maintaining an accurate inventory of resources
• Regular cleaning, maintenance and repair of resources
• Assist with the implementation of safety regulations
• Carry out risk assessments when required
• Disposal of chemicals and waste products safely
• Undertake other duties as directed by Senior Technician.

You should have experience in providing science support to a varied client base within a busy environment - preferably within an educational establishment and have an awareness of current curriculum needs. You will have a proven ability to understand, follow and convey technical instructions, demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail and have excellent organizational skills. This post requires a high degree of flexibility; managing the day to day aspects you will be required to have the ability to make informed decisions quickly.

You are required to hold a relevant qualification in chemical handling and have an up-to-date knowledge of safe working laboratory practices and COSHH.

You will work 21 hours per week on a part time basis.

The successful candidate will have experience of, or an understanding of the care needs of people with a sensory impairment and the effects of ageing. You will be skilled in assessment and recording. You must have good communication skills, a flexible positive attitude and be able to work as part of a team but also to manage your own workload, use your initiative and work on your own.

Requirements

The post holder is required to hold a recognised Sensory Qualification e.g. Diploma of Higher Education in Sensory Studies or equivalent.

You will be educated to British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1 or above.

The post holder will also have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, the drive to ‘make it happen’ in a busy working environment delivering high-quality support across a diverse range of services.

You will have sound communication, planning and organisation skills, and must be able to work to deadlines, ensuring an excellent service to both internal and external clients, key professionals, and stakeholders.

You will have knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office and data protection legislation requirements with highly developed I.T. skills.

You will work 37 hours per week.

Being a key part of the wider Facilities team, you will help form the future of the facilities function across the business,

As the Facilities Manager your roles will include the following:

* Management of facilities (hard and soft) at our Melton distribution Centre and resources including cleaners (contract and
internal) and sub-contractors. Services including planned and reactive works to the building services, refrigeration equipment,
building fabric and associated support service aspects.
* Delivering a range of FM services to our 332 shops reported in via the Portal, and sent out to our inhouse regional maintenance
operatives or external contractors as required.

* Directing, coordinating and planning essential services such as maintenance, cleaning and planned preventative maintenance in
line with statutory guidelines and company procedures.
* Ensuring the buildings and assets meet H&S requirements and that facilities comply with legislation and issues are raised to
the Senior Facilities Manager.
* Delivery of minor works such as energy saving measures as required e.g. LED lighting replacement schemes.
* Undertaking planned site inspections with documented actions, co-ordinating with contractors on site, initiating and managing
any required resolution works.



The successful Facilities Manager will ideally have the following:

* Relevant qualification in a technical, property or FM discipline to HNC / HND level.
* Previous experience in managing the maintenance & repair of a range of building services & the building fabric.
* Negotiation with and supervision of contractors.
* Co-ordination and management of reactive & planned works.
* Working knowledge of statutory compliance related to building services.

      Main duties will be:

      We require an experienced HGV Engineer shift supervisor who can ensure our automotive customers vehicles are back on road within the shortest time possible. As our HGV Technician, you will be required to service, adjust, and repair vehicles or components using the tools in a safe and proper manner, efficiently, within the allocated time and to the required standard.

      • Service and Inspect vehicles completely and report orally or in writing upon the vehicles condition, safety and reliability and performance (MOT).
        
      • Diagnose. observe, recognise and report on vehicle or component defects or symptoms of impending failure.
        
      • To ensure all service and maintenance sheets, customer defect reports, manufacturer paperwork and electronic documentation, i.e., DAF-check, PDI sheets are fully completed and signed off.
        
      • To interpret and implement technical service instructions data, to ensure a repair or replacement component is replaced or repair in line with manufactures instruction.
        
      • You may on occasions be asked to carry out roadside repairs and to recover defective or damaged vehicles within the terms of the law. Fully comply with Manufacturer's protocol and policies and safe working at roadside.
        
      • To draw the Supervisor/Workshop Controllers attention to any faults notice in either the interests of the owner or other faults that could make the vehicle dangerous or illegal if taken out on a public highway.
        
      • To protect all vehicles under repair against damage and to inspect each vehicle for damage and cleanliness upon completion of repair.
        
      • To attend recognised courses of instruction as and when required and to assist in the training of apprentices upon assignment.
